Default how to get a blank .sm file

I'm trying to make my own songs on a mac and the stepmania site says a blank .sm file, but when I click the link to download it it's just brings me to this link (http://piufan.com/sm/smweb/sync/downloads/blank.sm) and nothing happens. where else can I get one?

Start Menu > Stepmania > Stepmania tools and package exporter > Create song > Find the .mp3 or .ogg > look in the Stepmania songs folder, there will be a folder named my creations with the song and a blank.sm in it.

Or you could seriously just open notepad, save a blank file as whatever.sm

If you go to folder options and unclick hide file extension types. You can change a .txt to a .sm just by renaming it.
