Re: Started building a retro game collection...
I was scared today, booted up Earthbound and it wasnt working at first, was like "OH GOD NO" but thankfully blowing on the cartridge is the best fix ever in the history of gaming.

Bumpaloompa, HOYLFOK.
Look for the * symbols in the list to check out the games I added! Also, for those of you that missed the video, here's me unboxing Hateandhatred's surprise package for your own viewing pleasure. Thanks Sven, and, once again, if any of you are interested in sending games over, drop me a PM! |

Re: Started building a retro game collection...
I hate that so many people on ebay try to fob off repro games for so much money, and sometimes as originals. As well as the fact that it kinda devalues the originals, I don't think people should be profiting off of it as much as they do. I've got half a mind to get an eprom burner myself and just do them cheap XD
Musha was a nice get, how much did that set you back if you don't mind me asking? I think I'll take a few snaps of my collection tomorrow, always nice to share ^^ Nintendo geek here, although my collecting is on hold for a while as I'm trying to move... |

Re: Started building a retro game collection...
Nah, it's alright to ask. I paid $165 for it, which is no discount if you see what I mean. However, I bought it because I knew it was going to be increasingly difficult to find the game in that condition in the future (the demand for it is just outrageous man!) and also because, well, I love that game! It might be one of my last $100+ purchases, though. I came to realize it is not worth it in most cases when you can emulate any game for free and no have no one living near you who cares about such jewels lol.

Re: Started building a retro game collection...
No need to justify spending to me, I'm terrible XD And you have us on the internet to care about them :3 Plus it's always nicer to own things like that, as there's something just nicer about playing games on their originally intended consoles. There are a few pieces that I'm probably gonna end up forking that kinda dolla for, but financially it's worth it for a lot of things as there's no risk of prices shooting down in the immediate future.

Re: Started building a retro game collection...
Decided to start recording my bits and pieces on Retrocollect so that I can keep track of what I want. Just need to find out how to add US and perhaps JAP releases so that I can add those too. And dig out a couple of my boxes of stuff XD Shall go for pics tomorrow

Mega Man X2 was my favorite out of the X series. Loved the fact that you could actually fight against Zero near the end
