Good game developers make good games that are fun to play. Programmers have to worry about the complexity of the platform they are developing on. Producers have to worry about their audience. When porting a game to another console like the PS3, they need to make sure more than just a handful of people will buy the game. A lot of time, effort, and money is needed to hire a staff who can code on the PS3 or train their programmers how to. Not only that, some companies enjoy putting deadlines and if programmers are rushed on these type of things, mistakes and design flaws may happen and just not get fixed. That's why we have bad ports.

It may not seem fair sometime, but people do have opinions and biases. For example, if the Valve team simply does hate the PS3 and that's why it doesn't want to port a game to it, then that's just too bad. There really is little you can do about that. You can't force them to make a port because your words are little incentive. Just deal with it and play the game on the much easily accessible PC.

Make that two people that don't regret it. My only regret is the lack of free time to play it.

They have some games in development that should be good. A bunch of "core" games, noticeably among them in my opinion being a new Super Mario Galaxy sequel (hopefully with less gimicky attack controls this time) and a New Super Mario Bros. game (hopefully with better platforming than Super Paper Mario had).

They just have some dead space here in the middle.

But either way, the time I put on Brawl made my Wii worth it alone, even when I didn't get much play out of the other games.

That's not why I called you dumb. I called you dumb because you didn't realize that a computer can be turned into a good gaming machine for cheaper than a PS3 costs.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I do want to point out that "BR" isn't the correct term you're looking for. "Blu-ray" is a single word. If you want to refer to it by letters, go for BD, short for Blu-ray Disc. The "ray" portion of the brand is not a separate word.

I am disappointed in the Wii. I feel like its past its prime hardcore. Other than stuff like Mario Galaxy (which I beat 100% in a day) and Brawl (which can be fun but it's not as good as Melee), I haven't played anything on the Wii I've found to be super challenging and fun.

That woud make sense, if that was even the situation. What I don't understand is how you came up with "my" view on that matter. I also don't see the point in saying things like "dumb" and "dinglebutt". I thought we were passed this "you're stupid, go die" phase after my dumbass friend's movie thread. I thought we were getting along for a while, but here you are again, babying up another thread (although, major props for being original and not calling me dingledick like everyone else). Just in case you didn't catch the theme of this comment, I never doubted, and have always thought, that the computer can be a great gaming console for less money than a PS3.

No More Heroes?

Super Paper Mario was a blast

OH! Get Rubik's World, that's gotta be one of the best B-type games ever.

RE4 of course ;D

I has a ps3!

Demon's Souls looks like a well developed action RPG, but I don't think it would satisfy my quench as a decent RPG.

When I role play, I like to know I have a role.
Not just, "Here! Grab this sword and have at it! whoosshh"

*Whoosshh for epic sound effects.

BUT, the gameplay could seriously counter the lack of a seemingly loose story.
Doesn't look too story driven, ya know?

Anyways, I want to get Katamari Forever.
Though, I'll definitely rent this game, consider purchasing it then.

I hear there's pretty much 0 story, and that the entirety of the joy from the game comes from rewarding gameplay.

Well, like I previously stated, as long as the gameplay was completely jizztastic, and at least has a background.

I remember reading about it in a magazine, and that it was pretty hardcore in the sense of difficulty.

Co-op seems pretty delicious, haven't seen much, but co-op is always a plus, especially in RPG's.

Do you plan on getting it?
