Re: Competitive Smash
I also made a non-TGB thread a while back.
I also don't recommend "maining" any character outside the top 8 |

Re: Competitive Smash
usually in melee, people have a main in s tier that theyre really good with, then a secondary character in like, a tier or sometimes even b tier, mostly for certain situations or matchups. but yea, like poison said, maining somebody outside s tier isnt a very good idea. a tier at the lowest for maining.

Re: Competitive Smash
I'll admit, maining a low tier character is definitely not something I recommend, especially for melee, but it's not a bad idea to pocket one of them if you really want to. It definitely helps when trying to go about someone who thinks they're bad but actually not.

Re: Competitive Smash
As for me, I'm gonna be Duck Hunt all day every day with a pocket Yoshi.
Duck Hunt is like... I think at this very moment around the C tier. I haven't checked the tiers all that much in Smash 4 since the meta is still very much developing, and balance patches, so who knows? |

Re: Competitive Smash
I say main whoever you want. You're going to do best with whatever character you like and do best with. I main Ike in Brawl and Smash 4 and main Ganon in Project M. Both of them are mid tier characters and I can't do any better with a top tier character.

Re: Competitive Smash
I got Smash for Wii U. About a week ago, would love to start playing in a ladder again like we done here in the past. I just need to order a GameCube adaptor it's so awesome we get continue using our favorite controller for the game even tho smash 4 pretty much supports nearly every recent Nintendo device known to man for use as a controller lmao
Also since it hasn't been mentioned yet here the inclusion of Roy, Ryu, and Lucas as DLC was the reason I got a Wii U I got one the day that DLC was released it was epic. Last edited by Shamo0; 06-23-2015 at 11:10 AM.. |

Re: Competitive Smash
You're from New York? The Smash scene is pretty big there. You shouldn't have a problem finding anyone to play with.

Re: Competitive Smash
Smash 4 scene here is pretty niche. Like at most we have probably 4-5 users here that are particularly interested in the competitive side of it (me included).

Re: Competitive Smash
Michigan has a pretty big Smash scene as well.
You guys need to check your local Facebook Smash pages. You'll find events and people to play with easily. |

...There's an event happening this Sunday that's literally less than a five minute drive from my home. Dis may be my chance to pop my tournament virginity status, haha. Though, there website is severely lacking, I mean look at this. http://www.gamersgauntlet.net/ And that's just there front page. Doesn't even hold an ounce of Smash things. But... http://www.gamersgauntlet.net/gg-smash-series/ It does exist.

Yea I actually haven't had a problem at all lol. I just ask here because here in this forum we've had a smash ladder in the past so I know there's some interest. Plus Wi-Fi battles are convenient for those that can't travel far. Quote:
Updated my sig, the online network for the Wii isn't even online anymore so it makes no sense having my Wii friend code there lol. Also, pretty big update for Smash 4 came out tonight. It contains Online Tournament mode stuff, youtube replay abilities, balance tweaks and everything in this trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kERaZDelEYQ If we were going to do ladder or something. Yo the online tournament option in this game now, makes it pretty darn easy. Check it out for yourself. Last edited by Shamo0; 07-31-2015 at 05:20 AM.. |
