Organization and simplicity
What sorts of methods do you fellas use when it comes to keeping track of your routines/results? I used to use Fitocracy but I stopped after some bugs prevented me from updating everything, and I haven't bothered checking back. I also ask because my mom got one of those fitbit bands for an early Xmas present and is in love with the thing, and showed it off over the holidays; wondering if it would be worth checking out.
Normally I take a pen and notepad with me to keep track, but I would like to plug in some numbers somewhere and have some sort of history to compare to. Otherwise, what do you guys do? I'm also curious as to how you manage everything while you are working out. Do you have your music with you in an armband and input routines into your phone or something? Do you use playlists? I know this seems kinda trivial and maybe even a bit off the mark in terms of what I should be focusing on, but I'm just curious. It would be nice to have everything sort of centralized

Re: Organization and simplicity
I used to use fitocracy as well but quit because of bugs (It wasn't posting any of my workouts...I mean, there is absolutely no point to it at all if I can't do that, lmao).
Now? Honestly, I'm not using anything. I'll write down my weight when cutting, but that's about it. My lifts increase so slowly at this point that I remember what they all are anyway.

Re: Organization and simplicity
- memory
- conversations when my girlfriend asks "how was gym" - go on facebook and message reach/scwolf about PRs the numbers register as emotionally significant to me so there is no reason to write them down. I'll remember them. I do carry my mp3 player with me at the gym, because my gym's music is horrible for adrenaline. I use this mp3 player: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Sansa-.../dp/B002MAPSC6 and these headphones: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 if you have an mp3 player and it's not drag-and-drop I dunno what you're doing with your life |
