Ideas for future TWGs
Post your ideas, fully thought out and as balanced as possible. No campaigning here, just throw out ideas and comment on others' ideas. But don't just say "you idea sucks," give constructive comments so that ideas can be improved and made playable.
My only idea so far: 2 seers, 5 or so wolves. May be add a person or two to the total count, I'm not sure. Anywho, there would be a Master Wolf which can evade a seer, but if BOTH seers look at the Master Wolf on the same night, he will appear as a wolf. You may think that 2 seers would overpower the humans, but think about it. It would be easier to pull a fake seer stunt as a wolf, and two seers may start looking at known humans together to make sure they aren't the master wolf, which would slow down the seering. Needless to say, this would be a much quicker game, but it would be fun while it lasted. Now, let those ideas roll in!

RE: Ideas for future TWGs
Another possibility which I thought of a while ago, 6 wolfs and no wolfings, just lynchings. or maybe 2 equal groups of 8, which dont know who each other are, but that would get dull fast.

Like I said there are a ton of interesting ideas in there.. I'm not sure how to make bus driver beneficial unless you're playing in a game with no guardian then you bus drive the most likely victim and so it makes the wolf killings totally random if that one is chosen... i dunno, its interesting

Well how about a martyr. A less powerfull form of guardian, which if they protect someone, and that person is targeted, the martyr dies.

RE: Ideas for future TWGs
those are all quaint little additions and what not, but i am looking at the more sweeping changes... like Tass has a plan using serial killer and me and Cypher have tweaked a vesrion of wolves + mafia.. and I really like kingmaker or jury

RE: Ideas for future TWGs
What blah said is true. Don't just think of simple additions. Incorporate them fully and come up with fresh ideas. Don't just link to that site or a specific role on it, tell us how it should be used and the benefits and whatnot.

RE: Ideas for future TWGs
to fully state what blah said.... my idea (which will be implimented the 1st time i host, unless someone uses this idea before i am able to host) is 14 people. 13 humans vs 1 wolf. no seer, no masons, no guardian, etc. no blues. simple all out manhunt, all vs 1. and complete chaos and lack of trust. hence my saying earlier it will force people to trust each other. the hunted will get to kill 2 each night so as to not draw the game out too long. it will be a very quick game, max of 4 days. i look forward to running it, hopefully still in twg8.

RE: Ideas for future TWGs
Tasselfoot I think that would be extremely boring. There'd be absolutely no way too tell. So all you'd do is vote and read a little bit of meaningless text and wait for people to die, hoping that you might win. Kinda lame if you ask me.... I'd prefer a little more stratedgy and if you could explain a way so that I wouldn't think it's a boring idea, I'd probably be impressed.

RE: Ideas for future TWGs
my apologies for your lack of strategy and intelligence. the true genius of the blueless game is that it is based SOLELY on the humans abilities to work together, trust each other, analyze every post made to sniff out a wolf, etc.
it will make the random vote futile, every human skeptical of each other, the wolf in a very nervous position... there are so many angles in it that i can't possibly begin to describe them all. not to mention the fact that i will be handpicking the wolf, thereby throwing in another variable for the humans to ponder. who would i choose to the be all important wolf? ld has been campaigning me for it... will i give it to him? will i go with a n00b? a veteran? someone quiet? someone very talkative? someone everyone trusts, someone no one trusts? what will i base my decision on? if you need me to go on futher... perhaps you should sit out the game that i host.

RE: Ideas for future TWGs
Tass, with all due respect, I really don't think that's a good idea.
For instance: ---------- Day one! I'm random voting Squeek because I don't think Tass would choose someone stupid. I will too. Sorry, Squeek. You know what, I don't really have anything to go on. Say g'bye, Squeek. *Thread updates* Humans win! ----------- Which would be a waste of time for everybody. This is a hypothetical situation that may or may not occur in reality, but with voting patters the way they are now, it's a heavy possibility. ESPECIALLY with the "hand-picking" factor included. ~Squeek |

RE: Ideas for future TWGs
I like the idea of Framing, where the master wolf would be able to frame someone up for the seer. It would definitely mix things up a bit.
Also, I like this idea: The Rat. Like the Seer, every night he checks out someone to see they're a wolf. The difference being, he can see that the Master Wolf is a wolf, and if he finds one wolf, he joins their side. From then on he can also vote in on every night along with the wolves on who should be wolfed. This would be great in a game with some masons and a psychic, cuz then he would be all, "Wtf? 4 wolves?" And it would be cool 'n stuff. Or some kinda variant of The Rat. Basically, he joins the bad guys. |

RE: Ideas for future TWGs
I'm really entertaining Cypher's idea. I read a bit about it from the Princeton site, and I think it could be really fun. It seems to me that the Mafia and the Wolves are in competition with one another. They are in a race to see who can win first. While the poor humans are left ALMOST defenseless. They have a psychic that can see how many wolves are left, and a psychic that can see how many mafia members are left. A seer for each, and a guardian that can only protect from the wolves, and one for the mafia. I see this game turning into complete chaos, which would be awesome. It strays from the regular game, but has an even greater level of strategy.

so lets see here.
3 Wolves 3 Mafia 2 Psychics 2 Seers 2 Guardians 12 Special Roles Half the people have special roles. Am I the only one that finds that rediculous?

Squeek: that is a possibility... but, like i said, no one but me and the wolf will know why i picked that person to be the wolf.
