I think I might just change Lorem Ipsum to be a bit more of an FFR-style chart, although I'll keep the SM chart for the future.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Considering the potential size of batches EVEN with imposed limitations, I'd sure want to keep the number of submissions restricted.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
yeah true. i wouldnt mind bumping it up to 4 since most people dont submit more than 2 -3 files anyway

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
if the problem is people submitting lots of files that are all bad maybe have a rule like 'if I reject two files from the same person I'm no longer obliged to judge the rest from that person'

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
No, this won't do, considering how the hit and miss ratio of each submitter can vary wildly. Sometimes there's that one gem in the midst of the other crap. It's also not very encouraging for someone who wants to improve but is not necessarily doing so at a fast pace. All this would do is favor the usual group of people who consistently step files that are accepted in the game - that's not's a bad thing in itself, but we certainly want more people to step which may provide more variety and interpretations to the game.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Just cap it at 4 per person. Period (except for this first batch which has files that have probably been sitting around for a year). There's no reason to be crapping out more than 4 files at a time. The whole point of doing the teams is to speed up the judging process, so there shouldn't be time for people to make that many files, and should encourage working to make less files, but ones of more quality.
Also we probably should get judging shiz sorted out soon. God knows this batch is gonna be about 400 files |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I figure that if anything, this "current" batch should be the last unrestricted one since nothing was said regarding limitations until now (for fairness's sake)...which means that this batch should probably have a set date for closing sooner than later. Future batches should have a cap as per suggestion from Kory/wc.
As for the previous one, I think I said this already, but it should be put on hold for the subsequent batch, or if the judges can take it, combine it with this one lol. I wouldn't want to take people's hard work for granted, so the old batch shouldn't be discarded. Basically, once everything's sorted, there should be that much more stability to the judging system. Meanwhile, has anyone got a list of the current queue of files definitely to be in-game? (conditional queue included) |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I've been trying to see if we can close this batch for like 4 days now hahaha.
I think we should just combine this batch with the previous abandoned one, since that's the fair thing to do (provided anyone still has all the files for that last batch). We really need to get this judging thing sorted out asap. |
