These last people that have spoken actually make sense! A bunch of mumbo-jumbo does, naturally, make more sense after the event occurred. I think they're predictions were most likely a random shot in the dark.
Oh, the Egyptian culture is gone, by the way. Mayans are about as old as Egyptians. No wonder why their civilization disappeared. No society has every lasted over 1,000 years, not even Rome and Rome was a very successful society. It's only expected that a society will burn out. I hate to say it, but the U. S. Government will one day burn out and that will be the fall of the U. S. The collapse of societies is inevitable.
