Currently thinking up a game to submit either for the next voting thread, or the subsequent one.

Re: TWG CLXVIII: Capitalism [Postgame Thread]
imo, I think town did okay this game.
I mean, when you lynch the objectively bad player (inactive) over someone that's been at least sprouting some lines is not something to say "town sucks" at. By the way, no wolves were modkilled except for the very last one, and that one was going to get lynched no matter what anyways. If you meant the town modkills, that remains to be seen. There was a town that got modkilled in mid game that made Wells Fargo go "WHAT" at. Maybe the game would've imploded if it weren't for that, idk. |

Well I'm just saying if you're talking about this specific game in particular, then I believe you're wrong about town being sucky-ducky.

with all due respect, your advice would have been difficult to follow this game because literally all four wolves were inactives
all things considered I think town did rather well this game |

I agree a bit, but if you're looking at a game and going "none of the active people are fitting the mindset I expect from a wolf", the next move you make is to look at the inactives

Re: TWG CLXVIII: Capitalism [Postgame Thread]
Alright, I'm going to assume you're looking at Boats as the last town win and going from there.
FWIW anti-town should've won Boats, town clutched out that game really hard. Grand TWGabout, Town was crushing, just couldn't find the last wolf. T-Force put in WIM, but I would agree that town probably should've won this game. Pretty much same thing for perfect blowjob, town lynched the first two wolves on d0 and d1 then threw super hard. Moral of the story here is "If its C9++ and someone claims 'your' role, don't counterclaim." Town really should've won, they played bad. Game after was cancelled so we'll skip it. No one was really winning or losing, I think it got cancelled on d0. Exclusive Groups, town lynched 2 of the wolves and the serial killer killed the third early on, just couldn't find the serial killer. I think the reads here were a bit off, raeko did play well enough to win. Finding the serial killer is hard, but I do think that town probably should've won this one too considering how far ahead they were. Basically the same thing with the game after. Lar's partial win was not inherently pro or anti-town, so for the sake of argument, I'll ignore it. Wolves were super afk, just like this game, and town did what probably should've happened in the most recent game, which was lynch a lot of the active people instead of lynching the inactive people. Really just a case of WIL, this game could've gone either way. Egregious Miscalculations is a wolf-sided setup (imo), don't think this one should really count against town. Both Hakulyte and DFR had breakout wolf games, wolves deserved to win this one. Town didn't play bad, wolves played excellent. Lucidity... well, at least town won the dreamer game, I guess. Storn actually outplayed the wolves really fucking hard this game. Town deserved the win here. Allies and Adversaries... this one is hard to say. Came down to the wire, Shado had to play insanely well to even have a chance at winning it for the wolves. Really seeing a trend of town losing in the late-game rather than getting swept. Classics Man, wolves played pretty well imo. One of two wolf sweeps here. A new player did not follow one of the 10 commandments of claiming a role when they're about to be lynched, but it may have been better for town that he was lynched honestly. Wine in Front of Me, wolves were sweeping, almost certainly going to win, then Charu broke the game. I kind of don't really want to talk about this one other than wolves were going to win in f3 is pretty much universally agreed upon, and if Charu didn't find that forum feature, wolves probably would have swept. Fall of an Empire, Haku claimed cop to way too many people, wolves were able to play around it as a result. DBP had a little bit of a breakout game too. Wolves deserved this one. Fire Emblem II, wolves deserved that one. Town played bad, wolves played well. Capitalism, town deserves this one, as Charu says. The godfather being modkilled had minimal impact, he was getting lynched anyways, and roundbox's only play was to try and impersonate Charu, which would have basically been suicide. ---------------------------------- Town win (deserved) Lucidity Capitalism Wolf win (deserved) Egregious Miscalculations Classics Man Fall of an Empire Fire Emblem II Either way; town loss Grand TWGabout Perfect Blowjob Exclusive Groups Fire Emblem I Allies and Adversaries Not looking at Survivor Wine in Front of Me (could go in deserved wolf wins tho) ---------------------------------- Looking at everything, I think Manti has a point here. Town has been underperforming as of late.

Re: TWG CLXVIII: Capitalism [Postgame Thread]
the problem just appears to be that town can't find ALL of the wolves, just MOST of them, which isn't really that big of a problem, but I do think that town should be winning more, there's really only one setup there that I think is imbalanced, and the C9++ should've been an easy town win considering how many doctors there were.
the only times that wolves swept, or nearly did, were Egregious Miscalculations, Classics Man, Fall of an Empire, and Fire Emblem II, whereas the town stomps were Lucidity and Capitalism (I think no town were mislynched in either game). Most, if not all, of the remaining wolf wins were with one wolf alive, and obviously the serial killer won by herself. It seems like, if anything, town has a problem with late-game reads as of late.

Re: TWG CLXVIII: Capitalism [Postgame Thread]
If it's mostly coming down to last man standing on the anti town team situations that the town can't solve, I have to wonder if people are looking hard enough at the days where the anti-town partners are lynched for player interactions.

Re: TWG CLXVIII: Capitalism [Postgame Thread]
Because let's be honest, when it gets down to last man standing on the antitown, it gets harder to pinpoint them in their daily reads because they can play as a human with no reguard for anyone else.

Re: TWG CLXVIII: Capitalism [Postgame Thread]
I think it's because inactivity of some players, not gonna lie.
When it's late game, you start looking at players with the least amount, usually the more quiet = the more possible wolfy. HOWEVER and here's the kicker HOWEVER For whatever god damn reason. When town starts pressuring on the player that is not very active during this period, they start sprouting the darnest things that's usually not pro-town whatsoever. Don't say that's not what happens either, this is me observing every single game that I've died in when it reaches end game crap. |

Its hard to say, I do think that, while town deserved this game, for the most part, town got complacent with the lynch order at the end of this game. Here, it was fine, because the lynch order obviously won the game, but I think that its a big reason why town has lost those games that I think they could, or should depending on what you believe, have won.

Re: TWG CLXVIII: Capitalism [Postgame Thread]
Also it could just be town being lazy because they're cruisin' so they don't check on the last 50 or so pages in a thread looking for connections.
