Re: FFRMania Engine: 1500+ songs and counting!
It's simple, if you want to play the files as were intended, definitely go the SM route.
If you want it watered down (depending on how hold/mine/whatever heavy the chart was), then stick to this. I said it I think in the other thread, but this is pretty much a convenience thing I think. Just imagine this is Stepmania-land, except Cmods are on exclusively with holds and mines off. Sure, you can get Stepmania, download the backs, and turn that stuff off if you want to since Stepmania offers that, but I'm finding this to be if you're kind of lazy and don't want to download a pack or something and just play random files without having to set up anything or reload anything. |

Okay, We get it. You don't like the engine. You're obviously not going to play it and want your files removed. You've stated your opinion clearly. We will have all simfile authors given credit and the packs are in the OP. Someone playing the engine will know what pack they are also in and are free to go download that pack from SMO.

Re: FFRMania Engine: 1500+ songs and counting!
give some fucking respect to the people who've worked hard to create files so others can enjoy
if you want to receive some credit for all this hard work (i'm sure this took a long time), then you should give proper respect to people whose files are/were in your project ps) even though i sound like a dickhead it doesnt make u look any better by calling choofers' files shit |

But what you're doing is offering SM files with almost none of the intricacies left in tact. Ossa files lose all of their charm. Rogdor files lose all of their charm. Any file with gimmicks becomes just a standard chart. All theory, besides color theory, is literally lost in translation. Do you think files like Moches' Toki, Rogdor's Born This Way, or my Bridgeport Run play the same on FFR as they do on SM? The answer is no. That's why some of us are kinda mad at this. A lot of these files were made with SM in mind. I just hope that people will download SM and play these files like they were meant to be played. |

Re: FFRMania Engine: 1500+ songs and counting!
understandable
i might be sounding too harsh because i don't like the fact that a lot of people insist on playing only ffr (and its various engines) without giving sm a try hopefully this opens up the eyes of the general public to how diverse stepmania is compared to ffr (in terms of song choice, stepping style) i wish u guys the best of luck, hopefully this engine gets more people into both ffr AND stepmania |

Re: FFRMania Engine: 1500+ songs and counting!
Thank god for not seeing a popcorn .gif.
Anyways, I took the chance to play Robotomy in computing class with the sound off because people were really pissed at me for blasting out Crawling by Linkin Park. My teacher came around so switched to another tab and he asked if I was typing up my assignment really fast. Whoops. ps now that I've got a feel for what Robotomy feels like on fiffer I'm (already) stepping it for fiffer sorry choof

FFR and TS is what I like to play. Why anyone would have a problem with that is beyond me.

Re: FFRMania Engine: 1500+ songs and counting!
Dude I could really care less for stepmania (Can't play it because don't have the permission as a standard windows user) FFR's awesome. If I could play sm, and the notes and music was awesome in the song, I'd change the background to pure black, put the scroll rate to c720 good to go. Arcnmx has done an awesome job around here, making this game smoother and overall better. Then comes Tarrik, yeah that's cool the two of you don't like the engine. lbdd, if it wasn't for this engine, Amber Shores wouldn't be my fav. I have an endless amount of respect for what he's doing.
Meant then Tarrik comes in, the next greatest thing. Props to everyone else who helped make this happen Last edited by Godnick; 11-7-2013 at 12:25 AM.. |

Re: FFRMania Engine: 1500+ songs and counting!
HSMP 1 is finally all converted and being uploading to FTP now.
As this has happened, I've also removed all of the existing songs in the Secret Genre and have placed these instead. There should now be no more offsync files ^^^^ Dynam0, I've done everything you've asked i believe. May not have done #Est how you asked though (I think i did Oni) "Fury of The Storm - Oni chart is preferred, both if possible Higan Retour - Heavy chart is preferred, both if possible Magical 8-bit Tour - Oni chart is preferred (I think edit is a copy anyways but just to be safe) Minami Ikebukuro Hardcore Custom - Both charts if possible Porco Dio - Oni chart is preferred, both oni and edit if possible #est (Sharpest) - Heavy is preferred, both heavy and oni if possible Vertex GAMMA (True) - Heavy chart might be a good idea to add too if both is an option since oni is fairly ridiculous" Last edited by Tarrik; 11-7-2013 at 01:00 AM.. |
