I need reassurance that the 125g I'm taking in protein shakes is actually going in. It's so low-satiety that it feels like it couldn't possibly have that much protein, lol.

Can the body even break down that much a day?

Re: Bros
the body can break down a lot more than that in a day
some bodybuilders (mind you, they're using PEDs, but still) take in 400+g of protein/day |

Re: Bros
You don't get to just eat things without metabolizing them, otherwise we would die. After a certain amount of protein the body will eventually not use it as protein, instead turning it into carbs through gluconeogenesis, which is still fine. Once that happens the protein you are eating is just expensive and more filling carbs really. Which has that benefit of satiety.
On the note of enhanced athletes eating more protein, it isn't really necessary for them either. Many of them are starting to understand this and lowering their protein intakes down from what I gather. Their bodies are highly efficient at building new muscle tissue (demanded by the training) and their bodies will repair for long after their sessions are done, far longer than a natural lifter. This is why bro splits work for enhanced lifters, they are still building muscle from Monday's session, on Thursday (for example), whereas a natural lifter would not get as much out of 1 session per week since the process of protein synthesis ends much earlier which is why it is recommended for naturals to train muscle groups more frequently, with 2x/week being a good starting point.
