Question about Velocity Engine

While playing the Velocity Standalone is there a way to play multiplayer or is that only through legacy? please help

Velocity has its own multiplayer engine. Legacy multiplayer and Velocity multiplayer cannot be played with each other, and Velo's is usually empty.
