I made a background for myself with Photoshop
Actually, I made a few with Photoshop, I was messing around. The first two, I was just testing out my Photoshop skills. The last two were just me making friends with the lights and the clouds, if you understand my meaning. The very last one isn't really a background but some stupid experimental thing I did with young Arnie, giving him the face of 50 Cent. And yes I hate 50 Cent too, it's not just you.

You have to take the URL and add [img] tags.

I have done.
Or do you mean getting rid of the IMG tags? |

The first two are.. interesting..
Don't know what to call those. Second set of 2 are just cloud renders, as somebody said... Last one is lol.

Re: I made a background for myself with Photoshop
Hmm, few more I want to show. I coloured in a ready-made Vista background, and made two more random ones.

Re: I made a background for myself with Photoshop
Try not to use just straight filters.

Re: I made a background for myself with Photoshop
Ok well I found an alright tutorial with some good tips on filter effects and stuff (as it's what I want to get good at).
The tutorial - http://www.photoshopstar.com/effects...e-solar-flare/ I managed to get this out of it. Whadya think? Does anyone know of any other tutorials of this kind of art? |

Re: I made a background for myself with Photoshop
There are plenty.
Google photoshop tutorials (throw in the word abstract or something to specify it) and look for big tutorial sites... I'll post some if I can remember them... Although tutorials are good, a lot of it just comes from learning different techniques on your own... Trust me--it's hard.. Most of it actually is just learning good layer effects, not filter effects.

Re: I made a background for myself with Photoshop
I've seen of YouTube though people coming up with really good effects with brushes and stuff and using thousands of layers and they all know perfectly well what all the layers do. I'm pretty jealous of people to be honest. =/
But yeah I'll search more tutorials, and thanks for the tip! ^_^ |
