What's a good way to improve accuracy?
Hey! I'm fairly new here, but I'm no stranger to 4-key rhythm games. With the 14th official tournament coming up some time in the future, I'm looking forward to try and compete in it. I've managed to make my way to high d5, and I've snagged a good amount of 80+ fcs and some 90+ fcs, but I struggle to consistently AAA anything above a 40. Does anyone have any good tips for efficiently improving accuracy? I'd like to start AAAing more, but I'm way too inconsistent and impatient atm. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Play the game.
But in all seriousness, I've heard that some J5 training on Etterna for a couple weeks can do wonders for people wanting to improve in the accuracy department. |

If you spend some time focusing on low level AAAs/MA it'll tend to improve your accuracy on harder songs. I haven't found myself getting any better at accuracy by only playing hard songs.

You'll want to play files that you can FC/AAA with ease to the point where you are focusing only on the accuracy. As for playing on higher judges, I would recommend only going up to a higher judge if you can still maintain FCs with good PA. This way you focus on avoiding greats and can pick up on errors better. Whereas if you play something on Justice the feedback is too fine to comprehend and errors seem impossible to analyze (unless you have insane accuracy but probably very few players could benefit from playing on Justice) Fwiw I rarely played on anything other than J4 but was an acc player for a long time. It hurt my speed in that I would try to hit most patterns as-is resulting in good accuracy but high miss counts. Pros and cons. |
