Simpsons Movie

What are your thoughts? Personally, I think that the show has grown old. If this was made about 10 years ago, it'd have been fantastic, but the show just isn't as good as it used to be. I don't even watch it regularly anymore. Also, can anyone find that trailer? I looked briefly and found nothing. EDIT: many days later... http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/th...smovie/teaser/

Re: Simpsons Movie
Every time I hear someone whine about the Simpsons, I direct them to go watch a new episode. They're still hilarious. Maybe not as good as they used to be (maybe, as I'm willing to believe it's just nostalgia), but they're still fantastic.

Re: Simpsons Movie
I admit that the show is still a lot better than most shows on TV, but that alone doesn't say much (what with most TV being worthless garbage nowadays). I guess I'm just spoiled. I expect it to at least be really good simply because it was omfgawesome before. I just can't settle for a good show when I want a great one, ya know?
And, yeah, I'm even interested in seeing the movie. I'm just dissappointed that they waited so long to put something together if they were going to.

Re: Simpsons Movie
I think that the Simpsons has lost the charm of the old episodes, but they can still put out some pretty good stuff sometimes. It'll be interesting to see what they decide to do with this, where some of the ideas will undoubtedly have to be changed around a bit to make a full-legnth movie rather than just another half-hour episode. It's different from just any other movie in the sense that it's based on a TV show that's still fairly popular.

Re: Simpsons Movie
Nope. I saw the teaser trailer for it the other day with Ice Age 2. If they do it right, it could easily be the movie to revitalize the hollywood box office, though.

The word is there wont be. I'll be sad to see the simpsons go but all good things end someday. Saying that though i wouldn't be surprised if they make another cartoon like futurama.

Re: Simpsons Movie
The newer Simpson episodes suck. Did you see that Halloween episode? Maggie turned to a witch and the episode ended.
July 2007 I have the preview on tape ( I record every episode). |
