Default Visions (NRGyzd mix) [43 or 46]

I feel that this song's difficulty should be re-evaluated (I noticed that this song was discussed earlier and locked before the rating change, so I thought it would be appropriate to re-introduce now.)

This is an older song (released in 2005) which has only 235 AAAs despite over 228,000 plays. Compare this to Black Wing Metamorphosis, another 43 that came out about 3 years later and has 258 AAAs in only 80,000 plays!

The song is very long (1347 notes) and while it isn't particularly fast it leaves little room for error with a relentless switching of skills from rolls to streams to awkward [34] [24] [34] [24] type patterns (this at ~ 330 note mark).

What pushes it beyond a 43 though is the sets of rolls. I can't find another 43-difficulty song with this type of difficult roll-structure. (not to mention that there are THREE sets of these throughout the file including the very end).

I am not exactly sure if a 46 or 47 is appropriate here but I don't see how this should stay at 43 given the above.

I agree with everything you said. I was thinking for a long time that this needed a rating boost, and I'm glad someone finally made a thread. You're actually being pretty lenient with the original rating to say it's that close. This is off by quite a bit for exactly the reasons you already stated. My suggestion is no less than 46, but it would probably be more accurate at 48-50. The length of the song and the distribution of the rolls over that length combined with the length and speed of the rolls themselves is no joke. This file is just HARD to AAA.

yeah, underrated for sure.
I this is file is quite borderline 9 tho. I'm very happy seeing this as a 46, along w/ other borderline songs. M A Y B E a 47, but no higher. it's low 8 except for the rolls, which are quite manageable. As one of the 1st intros to longer rolls in easier songs, it fits in quite nice as a v. low 9.

I don't think it quite fits as high as 50 as if you compare this to longer files like The Prototype and {Blaze} (both 50) it really isn't at that type of level in terms of both speed and consistency.

Looking at this again I would vote 47. It definitely needs a bump because as Mike Weedmark said the speed/length/rolls make it quite tough.
