FFR Noteskin
File is an edit to Afrobean and EB's FFR noteskin, which can be found at StepManiaThings.com.
The old version only had blue noted holds. The hold graphic might be a bit odd. *shrug* Anyway, hope it helps. It's a lot easier for me to read than any other skins I've used. I also play on black without a background, I'm not sure how a few things would look with it. It's probably fine, though. =x Download: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...p?songid=27360 EDIT: Oh, yeah.. I also made these for the full effect. Re: FFR Noteskin
Hmm...by the looks of it it's awesome, though my stepmania won't read them out (they're right there with the rest of the noteskins).
Could it be an issue with 3.95? As I'm using that. |

Re: FFR Noteskin
Yeah, I didn't put a lot of work into holds since FFR didn't have any source material to pull from.
Aside from that, the only thing I was dissatisfied with was my lack of partial transparency on the arrows. Did you pull that off? Do your arrows explode like they're supposed to? That was probably the best thing of all about the skin I worked on, and ironically, that was the bulk of eb's involvement. I don't know my way around that ****, but he figured it out no problem. Oh and did you match note colors to what they appear as in FFR? When I made the first colored one a very long time ago, all there was ingame was yellow, red, and blue, I think, so most of them were just hue adjustments on other colors and matched to what they were in Note, although, now that those notes have hit FFR, I do believe some of them do not match what they are in Note. But yeah, man, show some screenshots. ps your theme graphics are a great touch, but the judgment timings need some work (talking about the dark artifacts on the letters). And if it was me, I would probably have Marvelous appear the same as Perfect, except maybe do 2 exclamation points on it, if only because FFR has no analogue of Marvelous timing. The hold judgment was a probably the best idea though and well executed as well. pps wtf me and eb aren't credited at stepmaniathings.com anymore >:(

I'm not saying it was crappy in general, just crappy as in up-to-date. Hehe Trust me, I noticed all of that stuff. Sorry about that, though. I had checked the file for a name, but I never found anyone to credit for the first part. I assumed the maker made it back before the rest of the arrows, and you did a wonderful job of it. You can take this file and put your name on it for all I care, though. lol I've just started to love holds, and I figured if there was anyone that wanted FFR skin without all blue holds, this could be useful for them. Didn't mean to cause any trouble. ^^; ..and I did notice the explosion, it all looks great. Hehe I'm glad there's no transparency, but I play without a BG anyway. Not sure who EB is, but I appreciate both of you doing this. ^-^ Last edited by RoastedNoob; 06-1-2008 at 12:19 PM.. |
