What languages do you speak?
And how fluent are you in each one?
English is obvious. Sign Language - Fluent, I can carry on a complete conversation with a deaf person. Spanish - Poor, I can understand a majority of what is spoken, but have a hard time speaking it, can't carry on a conversation most of the time. French - Poor, I pretty much just know a bunch of phrases and words, can't carry on any sort of conversation at all. |

Re: What languages do you speak?
French and English, fluent.
I know words/phrases in many random languages, but not that much. If I listen to a VERY slow conversation in Spanish, I can understand it, cause a lot of the words are very similar to french (latin connection) but I have to process each word in my head to know wtf is going on. Also, programming languages (rofl) PHP, Java, Actionscript (I'm getting rusty though), VB6, Javascript, HTML/CSS, a couple other ones I forget about. I can read code from any of the major languages, but I never worked with the majority of them. |

Re: What languages do you speak?
English, Japanese, Mandarin, ASL. Only fluent in English, but semi-fluent in the others (could hold conversations -- but people would have to speak a little slowly because otherwise I can't parse what they're saying)

English - Fluent. Native tongue.
French - Poor. I mostly know phrases from beginner french classes. Dutch - Poor. While I understand some of the grammar and spelling, and can carry on SOME conversation, the spoken words escape me. German - Very poor, what I know is a derivative from dutch and Rammstein songs. Frissian - Very poor, what I know is a derivative from dutch. 1337 - I guess lol.

Re: What languages do you speak?
English is my main thang. I can fully understand Mien, but I respond in English to my family LOL I took two years of Spanish, and back when anime was all amazing I learned a ton of Japanese and watched it raw.

Re: What languages do you speak?
Hm... I know I've seen a thread like this before...
Korean - fluent, native English - fluent, although I'm probably forgetting a word a day or something Japanese - relatively good; been studying it for almost 3 years. Spanish - very little; can make some simple sentences Do want to learn German and Russian in the future, if I have time.
