You'd be surprised. I can usually see where people are coming from and arguments for both sides of a case pretty easily, but I've learned it's better to go ahead and point suspicion/ask questions even if I can predict a "good" answer. Reason for that is, a lot of the time, under the right pressure or faced with the right question, wolves will make a mistake and slip their real intentions in an explanation, contradict themselves, overexplain, can't think of a "good" answer, or lie, etc..
So while it's easy to make excuses for someone or find reasons why they might be town, it's usually better to just go ahead and *ask* to have them confirm that to you themselves. Basically what I'm saying is, bear with me. Even if I ask a question that may seem obvious to you, do your best to respond because the chances are I'll be asking it to confirm your thoughts, rather than asking it because I can't "get what you do".
