Re: Hardest DDR Supernova song
Honestly I personally HATE gimmicks. It's annoying because the actual song doesn't freeze this isn't DJ Hero (which is a lame ass game IMO). Agreed that customs make it much more fun so ITG/Pump Pro (simply because pump is so unique) take the cake here.
I looked over the two charts and 888 is pretty interesting but I hate speed-changing songs because choosing an x-mod becomes obnoxious. Also the only really retarded part of Pluto is that ending, jesus.

Healing-D-Vision Heavy/Oni are just horribly stepped. HI GAIZ 12TH NOTE MELODY LET'S INTENTIONALLY STEP 16THS HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrr
There's a lot of differences and arguments as to why a person likes one side and not the other. Personally, I like PIU more than both games because a.) the community is considerably less cocky and b.) the game is actually difficult. Also, chart-making is SO much more fun, and with the right build, you can make missions too. Take a look at two charts that I've made for missions: and PIU is so much more versatile and you can do so much more with it. Last edited by TC_Halogen; 12-17-2010 at 02:09 PM.. |

Re: Hardest DDR Supernova song
Because there's an actual discussion going on that stemmed from the topic?
EDIT: Fixed my video links. |

Re: Hardest DDR Supernova song
Because it has now become a full-fledged discussion beyond the initial target. Hence this is an average ffr thread. Yeah pump is sick I just need to learn the turns they're still confusing as hell to me beyond like 10's.

No, I meant my comment as satire. I wasn't stating that it was bad.

I've seen a lot of people talk about hard boss songs, but I still feel like Maxx Unlimited is SO underrated - that chart feels more tiring to me than a lot of other DDR bosses simply because of the amount of jumps in it... |

Re: Hardest DDR Supernova song
MaxX Unlimited probably has to be my favorite boss song on DDR, stepwise. It is a real challenge, and doesn't rely on gimmicks in order to do so.
Song-wise? 888/MAX (period)/MAXIMIZER. |

Re: Hardest DDR Supernova song
Am I the only one who loves Max 300 step-wise? I mean, I think it's my favourite.

Re: Hardest DDR Supernova song
I like The Legend of Max it's freaking sick. And haha halogen fail sarcasm. Besides, I basically said what you said in more words. But yes Max 300 is pretty sweet too. Plus you can't forget PSMO.
Favorite non-boss charts: B4U Cartoon Heroes (Speedy Mix) Xepher (ONI) Matsuri Japan So Deep Twilight Zone Tsugaru (either version)

Re: Hardest DDR Supernova song
I hate PIU so much everytime i find a machine anywhere, I try playing it and 1, if I try using the bar, it shakes like a *****, may just be the pads fault but it leaves a bad taste about the game. Also I just think 5 sensors really just messes with my head after using 4 for so long. They could of at least made it 6 so it was even.
About songs, lol That was the first time I watched 888, nice speed change in the end xD Pluto relinquished is insane, but honestly, I dont think its the charts fault, its extremely difficult, just like its meant to be. Doesnt matter that its from LOL CROSSOVERS LOOOOL, its still a challenge to overcome...Im close to beating it on expert -.-... Favorite DDR songs: Trim Super max 300 pluto relinquished(Its just freaking fun) ive only played ITG once and I loved it but theres none near me :< Going on vacation next week though next to one so im going to play it as much as possible.

Re: Hardest DDR Supernova song
pump it up i rather for many reasons, one being you can switch to doubles with a simple difficulty change, the charts are considerably more challenging and leaves room for tons of creativity.
the scene here was massive three years ago, larger than itg ever was (heck our little group of 5 people still play) and all the pumpers died out. ddr players show up at itg every now and then and as soon as we hop on and play uber rave they kinda just leave in shame cuz they bad

Re: Hardest DDR Supernova song
I forgot to mention V (for EXTREME) is another song I absolutely love, step-wise and music-wise.
Hell, a lot of the songs in DDR I love music-wise. And only some I like step-wise. But Kommi is right. If it wasn't for custom songs ITG would be boring pretty fast. DDR has this charm that makes it insanely replayable. |
