Marathon Pack
So since many people seemed interested in it, I've decided to start this Marathon Pack. Here's a few ground rules for it:
1) All songs submitted must be Marathon-length songs (at least 5:00 in length). If they are not marathons, they will be rejected. 2) All songs submitted must not be in any site's (including personal site's) simfile databases. If your file makes it into the pack, you aren't allowed to upload your file into a database for at least 1 month after the pack's release. 3) Try to make a decent banner and background (but mainly banner) for your file. If you can't make one or the one you make is marvellously crappy, I'll make one for you but it may take a while and you may not be happy with what I make. So it's probably best to try making your own AT LEAST subpar banner. 4) Songs should be layed out in this simple format: TITLE: Fury Of The Storm [Song Name] SUBTITLE: [Anything you want here really, or nothing at all] ARTIST: Dragonforce [Creator Of Song, NOT creator of simfile] As of now, we don't know how many songs will be in this pack. We'll just have submissions stay open until we've decided there's enough in it to release it. Judges for this pack will be: Myself Luc Marceau Patashu Nauticus All submissions are to be submitted to Wavanova@gmail.com. We'll try your file out and give you a response as to whether we'll put it in or not ASAP. Commence your submissions and flaming of this pack. Last edited by Wavanova; 12-13-2006 at 07:40 PM.. |

Re: Marathon Pack
Someone step "I" by Meshuggah.
It's only 235bpm death metal for 21 minutes with lots of changes (not bpm, I mean musical changes) that would make for an interesting yet very painful file. |

Re: Marathon Pack
Tibs checked it out, I forget what he said the exact bpm was, but it was around that.
The only problem he said was that it wasn't in a 4/4 time signature. |

Re: Marathon Pack
i hate doing songs in non 4/4 timing >_>
plus "I" would prolly be way too repetitive. Maybe I'll still just do Change Of Seasons instead....or I could do The Odyssey by Symphony X...that'd make a good file. |

Re: Marathon Pack
yeah i know, that's what originally taught me my hate for stepping files like dream theater, even though they're fun when they're finished.

Re: Marathon Pack
The thing about 4:51 is that SM wont call it "Marathon" unless it's 5:00+. It kinda sucks cuz I have alot of songs that are like 4:36 and such, but if Wava says OK then do it, I mean it's like 9 sec. short for pete's sake.

Re: Marathon Pack
Well if it's the M that matters I could just add 5 seconds at the start and 4 at the end and it would be considered a marathon....

And I suppose you could add an extra 9 seconds of nothingness to it, but I'm going to know about it and reject it now unless it's one of the most splendiferous simfiles I've ever played >_> |
