College
Who here's gonna be a freshman in college this year? Where are you going to college? What classes are you taking? How ****ing expensive are your books?
I'm going to Northwest Florida State College (local college ftw :P) for my AA. I'm taking Art History, General Biology, Pre-Cal, and English Comp 2 this semester. Books were freakin $420 :/.... Classes start next month for me :P

Re: College
I plan on majoring in Graphics or Web Design... My advisor said we were gonna wait till September to start talking more about my field of study, since she doesn't know what all I've already got credit for with my classes and certificates... :/

Re: College
dont worry the books only get more expensive and eventually they won't even buy them back at the bookstore.

Re: College
I'm going to be a sophomore at Texas Tech, but I want to transfer to University of Texas next year. I'm double majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. My books last year were $803 1st semester and $873 2nd semester. I didn't even use 2 of the books because the professor never had work come from them or they weren't useful references (1 of them was still wrapped in plastic rofl). I took them to several bookstores and they would only take used prices, even for the one in plastic, so I just kept them.
EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to list my classes for this coming semester. My double major program is a 5 year plan that I'm trying to do in 4, so I'm taking a more dense workload than most. Took 18 and 19 hours last year, respectively. So yeah, to the classes: Data Structures, Theory of Automata, some Honors seminar called "International Affairs in the Global Community", Differential Equations, and Physics II. Only 17 hours this time

Auditioned for Berklee, New England Conservatory, and University of North Texas.
Applied for Jazz Performance to all of them. I then rejected all of them in favour of not going to college for a while. |
