The only time I use a bar on ITG on a 9-footer is on Disconnected -Mobius- when I use the bar to stay in the air near the end with all the mines. I don't usaully go back to the middle, it feels akward.

Yeah, you know... I think the bar is at the very least a way to prevent lawsuits. I use it sometimes to regain my balance when I get carried away and I'm about to fall over...

But then people actually use it as a crutch and hold on to it the entire time. Sure, their scores will be better, but I'd rather fail a lvl 10 song than use a bar for it. It's worth a few tokens to keep off the bar, because when you go back to a lvl 9 or 8, things just run smoother.

Anyone who makes posts like yours tends to really suck :P. Because anyone who gets really good scores with bar tends to be really good without it too.

Orly? And what is your best score?

I use the bar, pretty much always. It helps.

No, you are just wrong.

The bar helps with your accuracy. If you want to improve your scores, use the bar.

End of discussion. If you think the bar is gay or doesnt help you, you need to gtfo and stop playing because you are ****ing bad. You are not good. I know you think you are, but you arent, so stfu.

/end rant.

Honestly, there is no practical reason not to use the bar (besides hands). The bar helps with every aspect of the game. And if you look at any major ranking player they all use the bar. There's a reason for that.

So, I'm sick of looking at these bull**** barraping threads. The fact is, the bar is necessary. Sure, you can pass a 12 without the bar, but your endurance and balance are going to be shot afterwards. End of story.

I agree that the bar helps, but I disagree that it's necessary. There's no reason to force someone to use the bar; also, a reliance on the bar can be detrimental. I use the bar when I play ITG, but pretty much everything I play on DDR is 1x no bar. There's no song on either machine that is impossible without the bar (well, maybe Determinator expert blender), but all of the best players in the world use the bar.

I also agree that people who still complain about people using the bar should go to a tournament sometime and try to win.

I understand that in order to pass the more difficult songs, you pretty much are forced to use the bar. Sure, there are individuals who are amazing enough that they can pass 12's without the bar, but for me, using the bar just takes the fun out of the game. I've never used the bar before, except maybe once when I almost slipped and died >_< I'm not a terrible player either, I can do some 11's, and I could probably advance more using the bar, but my group of friends and I have always gone barless and that's how I like it.

I only play ITG, and I use the bar for any 10 footers or above. I can pass all 10 footers and some 11's without the bar, but I can't do 12's without the bar (excluding Delirium).

It helps with avoiding large amount of mines, but it is easier to do trills and running men without the bar. (Summer (Speedy-Mix-) and Delirium)

Ok, seeing as I am a no bar user, and I argue about bar vs no bar alot, I'm going to try to not argue like that in this thread. All I'm going to say, is that this quoted statement is NOT TRUE.

You can do anything without the bar, it just takes time and determination

well :P some songs ARE physically impossible without the bar... None of the songs on ITG/DDR but if you included custom songs and crap obviously there are just like some songs are impossible with bar. But ya like I can do everything on DDR (with atleast AA) and ITG (including 13s) no bar so if you are referring to those they are doable.
