TWG Idea: Bait & Blind Seer
I don't want to host again for a while because I'd rather play through this idea than watch it, but next time around for hosting I think someone should run with this idea.
It's nearly a completely normal TWG - 16/3; psychic, seer, guardian. BUT with one difference. Every day when the votes are tally'd up, the person with the second most amount of votes becomes the night's bait. The bait is a simple role. Everyone is inside a tent to sleep, but the bait is tied up in the center. During the night, the wolves will get up to kill someone, and they'll see the bait first. If they choose to kill the bait, then no one wakes up; the seer stays alseep. Well how is that fair?! It's fair because as long as the wolves wolf the bait, then the humans are controling who dies NIGHT AND DAY. Alternatively, voting could be done separately for the bait, but I think second place is the best way for this to be done. Also, the guardian can't guard the bait. So on the human's side, they get two lynchings, but on the wolves side, they have no fear of a guardian or seer as long as the bait that is brought up is not one of their own. I've talked this over with a few people, and I was wondering what people thought about it, or if anyone liked it enough to run for 23 using it. =D |

RE: TWG Idea: Bait & Blind Seer
Fish, did you completely ignore the retardedness of your idea that I pointed out?
It is NOT even for fair. Yes, the humans control the wolfing.... but at the cost of the wolves wolfing a human/blue (if they play it correctly) every time AND the seer not getting to use his power. So its a seerless game where if a wolf is the 1st or 2nd target, the other wolves will push their own buddy to 1st so that they can kill a human at night. No wolf would ever get stuck in 2nd, so there would never be a reason not to kill the freebie, guardian free... and no seer. So no guardian, no seer. Its now Afro's dumb game with no blues. You get the psychic who would become the most important blue... you see a wolf gets killed, and a few people jump the 2nd place guy the night before... bingo, you got at least another wolf. But that is it. That is NOT a good game.

Ahhhhhh, that must've been that part that I didn't see because my internet kept cutting out on me. Hmm. An also the psychic wouldn't know if the lynching or the wolfing was the wolf. I was thinking the psychic could come out, the guardian guards him in case the wolves don't go for the bait. But then drawing conclusions from who was killed would be harder.....maybe role revelation on death? Let me think through that.

RE: TWG Idea: Bait & Blind Seer
I still say the wolves would just control the lynch... if a wolf was 2nd, they force them to 1st, so on reveal... they got a wolf! then the kill is for sure a human. Because then you get to the spot where if you DON'T go for the bait, the bait must be a wolf... only the wolves realize that and don't kill them, so they get lynched. do that on day 4 or something.
The only thing I could see the humans doing to prevent that would to have the seer see the bait every night, so if they don't kill the bait, that person is either in the clear or confirmed a wolf. Prevents the wolves from doing the scam mentioned above. The game has potential, but needs work.

Tossing an idea out there that I completely haven't thought through.
New blue role called the "baiter" who chooses the bait for each night. Don't do it based on person with 2nd to most votes. |

That would suck if the master baiter got seen.

RE: TWG Idea: Bait & Blind Seer
I dunno, if the master baiter proves himself human he might want an alliance with the prostitute.

RE: TWG Idea: Bait & Blind Seer
Generally, the master baiters aren't the same types who align themselves with the prostitutes. Clashing of morals, something like that.

RE: TWG Idea: Bait & Blind Seer
Personally, I hope that the master baiter, the voyeur, and the prostitute all get saved before they die.

RE: TWG Idea: Bait & Blind Seer
Oh man, that would be cool, but what if the baiter died? Would the game continue normally? Would the seer be able to use his powers? Yeah, unless to keep the game going the role was passed on randomly....
No, it would be good if he died and the game went to normal. With no bait the wolves have to go around the tent, waking up the seer, and alerting the guardian. Okay, sweet. |

RE: TWG Idea: Bait & Blind Seer
If the baiter came out, (rofl, master baiter coming out) would it be advantagous to the wovles to keep him alive? I mean, it's sort of an equal trade off. Wolves don't get seen as long as they follow the bait. So if you have a stupid baiter, you can use it well. Then again the wolves don't have as much influence on who was baited this way.
Also the baiter lying about who he was going to bait would be really easy to detect. Baiter: "I put TPS out for bait" Host: "Who are you going to seer tonight?" Seer: "Oh, i guess the wolves didn't go for the bait." -Next Day- TPS has been wolfed. Seer: "Hey you were lying you liar!" Hmmmmm... |

RE: TWG Idea: Bait & Blind Seer
Seer should send in a seer pick every night, whether he gets the results or not depends on if he wakes up.
