Default Guitar hero 3

I tried guitar hero 3 on a LAN-party 2 weeks ago and I completely pwned the hell out of it (I have GH2 at home), while playing with one of the cordless guitars. Hammerons/Pulloffs were like the easiest thing in the world...

So now I'm back home, lent my friend's GH3 cd and playing with my own GH2 guitar and I completely can't do hammerons AT ALL. It's freaking pissing me off. 3 hammerons in a row is a definite miss..

Would it be because of the GH2 guitar ? Or maybe the fact I play GH3 on my computer with a tv card ? I haven't had any trouble playing GH2 on my computer though...

I use the GHII white v-shaped guitar for GHIII. I can do it all, but it takes timing.

Yea they had that one at the LAN as well, I didn't have any problems playing on that one either (though I preferred the cordless one because it felt better)

Hammerons have a massive timing window in GH3, dunno how you can have problems with it lol

Summary: GH3 is way too forgiving for hammer-ons/pull-offs with or without a good guitar/tv or whatever you want

I'm still stuck on through the fire and flames btw lol (84%)

Yay first usefull comment in the topic. I'll try to connect my ps2 to my tv instead, see if that helps.

you're an idiot lmao, it doesnt matter what guitar you use, the explorer (v-shaped) is generally crappier, and the gibson (rounder one) is a good one

there's no 'gh2' specific guitar lol

that new one with the black buttons is good too

That was I was trying to figure out. I was pretty sure it shouldn't matter, but I'm pretty desperate looking for solutions of my problems so I thought I'd make sure, rather than just sit there and think "aww it doesn't work properly, too bad. no GH3 for me"

Too bad it took like 2324151 post of useless spam and bull**** before I got an answer to my question.
