Default Want to start playing with One hand but don't know where to start.

I have been getting bored using the same method (Left hand-Index, Right hand- Middle, ring finger) only can do master only stages.

I tried playing with my right hand alone but i suck at it XD. So should i just start from scratch?

P.S- Can anyone go in lobby again? I cant get on
P.S.S-I also have a hard time pressing Up+down with one hand, any tips?

If you REALLY wanna play with just one hand, what I used to do IS just use my right hand (middle three fingers on arrow keys), although I dunno what to suggest if you want to be at the same skill level that you're at now. Generally whenevs you switch playing styles there's some sort of skill loss until you practice with it to get back to wherevs you were. In response to your P.S.S, all I can say is to practice it a little bit and kinda try to be aware of where those jumps are within the file so you're ready for them when they come, playing with one hand is more about knowing how to move your hand around the keys in response to the patterns you see; if you know how to position your hand to match specific patterns then you'll have a HUGE advantage in the one-handed-playing spectrum of the game.

I'd learn spread and use the keys sdkl with two hands if you're just looking to pick up a new style. Gives you the best advantage.

Just use the right hand.
Index, Middle, Ring.

Index on J, middle on I, ring on L.

JKIL formation. Easier to slide up and down~

wouldn't it be better to just flatten the alignment to something like HJKL? (Thought i dunno if you can do hands or quads with that), because you have have to have one finger in front of the other to do the up-down jumps.

Hey rjblaze215,
Thanks for showing interest in the style.

There are two ways to hit the up/down arrow combinations.
1- Rotate your arm/wrist slightly to the right, and hit the arrows using your pointer and middle.
2- Hit both top and bottom with just your middle finger. (This works well on flat keyboard, and not very well on raised keyboards)

Practice, practice, practice, practice. One Handing is time consuming.

For practice:

World of Dreams
Blaze

Those two will fill your needs for Jumps and Steam. The rest just takes a stupid amount of practice.

Well as good as i am at FFR right now i have a pride issue. I refuse to lose to such easy stages so is witch to 2 hands XD.

Ima just keep losing with one hand till i get this right!

the trickiest thing for me is pressing up+down. Feels really weird but im getting used to it. I just use my middle finger to press both buttons because some stages im not fast enough to press up+down using index+middle finger.
