Level 110 now. Trying to scrounge up some free nx from the website to buy a shop permit so I can start makin da millionz.

cool, first time level 100 in eMS and this only my third day on this char.

any tips for level 100-120... i'm pretty sure it's just boss runs and LHC after 120 but besides PQ what are some good spots for these 20 levels.
gonna try leafre for now because storyline / silent crusade seems to lead here

edit: leafre is perfect. reflection spam plus high mobility thanks to light speed equals 7-9% per minute lol
edit2: correction, red-nose pirate den 2 (from herb town) is the most silly thing i have ever seen. reflection clears this map in 2-3 presses and voila, you get 1-2% every time. 120 today, for sure.

train at aliens from 100-110 and try to find a party at lhc once you're 110 and you're good lawl.

I find LHC/Chimney takes away from the fun of the game :P I level up by going through the theme dungeons and doing quests.

Speaking of leveling up, going through Tera Forest is a pretty fast way to level up IMO, because the quests reset when you log off. The 3rd area gives about 1.8mil EXP every run (~2.5mil if you kill Dunas), and every run takes around 5 minutes on my bishop.

7 days until the Tempest event is over, I'm trying to get as many Tempest Coins as I can. Do you have any recommendations for what I should get? I can either get more Tempest Equips in search for better Hidden Potential, or I can get Big Bang 30.

Really starting to get turned off by the amount of influence having NX now plays on the power of your character. From what I can gather, the most surefire method of acquiring godly items is to spend a fortune on cubes until you receive an acceptable potential.

The whole potential element of the game really pisses me off in general. It's such a blatant move by nexon to squeeze money out of the players. Rather stupid and irritating too in practice. "Oh, let's roll the dice and see what I get on my tempest belt". "Yay, +50 mdef and +5 int for my warrior -_-". Fuck it's such a turn off.

Gambling on equipment as a feature in the game is all well and good, but when there is a way more or less around it to gamble as many times as your wallet allows that really, really sets me off and kind of destroys the overall competitiveness of the game.

I've been turned off by NX power gains since the release of 2x cards.

Yet ppl do it. You should wait till occult cubes comes out, at least then you can get your items till epic by bossing a shit ton x_x

There's a reason why 2x cards don't exist in kMS. The game is already too easy.

In my opinion, the Big Bang changed the game for the worse. New players were complaining that they couldn't do the end game content.
Of course they can't play the new end game content when they just started.

For years, MapleStory ran purely off of cosmetics.
Nexon NA saw how they could get away with nickle-and-diming the player through gachapon, then it all went to hell.

The point of NX was never to 'become superior'.
However, the whinny newgens had a different idea. This is why I quit gMS. Nexon NA is a horrible company.

Letting casuals run the game is no different than letting casuals ruin the game.

I was talking about why it wasn't, and gave some background information behind it.

I want to talk about Maplestory, not Nexon. Every Mapler knows that Nexon is a horrible company, so why restate it? You can talk about MapleStory without talking about Nexon. It was done before Big Bang, it can be done after.

Back to game-changing NX, I guess. Just think of it as the cheat sheet of MapleStory. He/she may be able to max level a character much easier than you can, but you worked hard for what meager amount you have. So really, you are more industrious than him/her, and that should make you feel good

If that doesn't help, go play on a 1x rates private server. You typically get NX for free, so it's not really a big deal anymore.

You could look at it that way. After the Big Bang, I remember seeing 12xs that have never fought Zakum before, or weren't even fully equipped. It was kind of depressing hearing them ask me questions a 7x should be able to answer.

I just like having something to show off for all of my hard work. If I've spent 12 hours a day grinding for a few weeks, I'd like to have something special to show for it. Hopefully the new Lv. 250 cap brings what I'm looking for. I can't wait to find out what's behind the door to the future.
