Re: List of the best VSTi's!
@ iPatch - I'll get the thread updated tonight with your input... Good to see something coming from an oldschool member like myself
@ TK_Breed - I wouldn't make a thread for Sample Packs, solely on the reason that Sample Packs are usually just bought on CD's and such... Or downloaded from people... And sample packs aren't OFFICIAL most of the time, they are usually just bundles of .wav samples that people put together in a zip and share to the world, so it would also be hard to keep tabs on what we would suggest you to go out and buy... We have a crapload, well, because we use the resources we have at our disposal to obtain them... @ Bottlecap - You have a thread set up for this question... So I'll just help you out in that thread instead of this one

Re: List of the best VSTi's!
I'm a fan of a lot of Steinberg's VSTs.
EDIT: Especially with their FX plugins. And The Magical 8bit is like a goddess put soup on the world for the hungry. Last edited by sleeplessdragn; 09-29-2007 at 12:34 AM.. |

Maybe I should integrate this list into the sticky.

Re: List of the best VSTi's!
@ Pyro - I would actually like this thread to be its own seperate thread, as it is more along the lines of being for the more advanced (someone that has been producing for about a year or so) music producers, whereas the thread you have is about how to get started with finding the right software to get to creating music...
By all means though, feel free to link to this thread or something from that thread, but don't literally integrate seeing as they are two completely seperate threads, and this one is regularly updated by myself as time goes by... Y'know?

Re: List of the best VSTi's!
OK, I understand. I just linked to this thread and the Wiki page for VST.
PS You didn't mention Sytrus anywhere. To me Sytrus is much better than Toxic III or Poizone. Sytrus and Vanguard are my two most used VSTIs. Plus Poizone is pretty much Superwave P8 with a price tag attached. Also, it's not in production anymore, but you can still find reFX's TBL some places. It's a very simple bass generator - I find it most fitting for hardcore, hardstyle, and hard trance. I think The Beast is the successor to it, and it's very cheap too.

Re: List of the best VSTi's!
I agree.. Though Sytrus can be quiiiite CPU-intensive, I use it quite a bit.

Re: List of the best VSTi's!
...Yeah... I'll add Sytrus under your guys' names... I was just naming an extensive list of VSTi's that I have and use and find to be very amazing... Whereas Sytrus... Not so much... The presets are pretty cool and all, but the actual modification of the synths, knob tweaks, etcetcetcetcetc are just all too confusing... Gorlock and I STILL don't know what each knob does to effect the sound...
But anyways... ...Wiki page? o_O

My friend sent me EastWest Quantum Lead Complete Symphonic Orchestra through the mail. 15 gigs of pure symphonic orgasm. Should arrive in a few days.
Can't wait to get my hands on this little baby EW/QL Symphonic Orchestra Quote:

BUMP'D to help the new/er people in the forums that have never seen this thread back from '07.
With the near 2,000 views so far, I figure it can continue to help another 2,000 pairs of eyes until the thread A) Gets forgotten about, at which point I will just bump again in half a year or B) Gets stickied. Enjoy!

Re: List of the best VSTi's!
3xOsc, all the way. It's really not the cheap standard plugin people make it out to be, if you know how to use it.
Also, Synth1 is one of the best freeware VSTs I've ever had... it's insanely professional sounding. Ichiro Toda Synth1 - Freeware Quote:

Re: List of the best VSTi's!
You probably want to add reFX Nexus, it was the first VSTi I ever had, and you can get expansions for it too. It's really powerful, check it out .

Re: List of the best VSTi's!
I connected my M-Audio Oxygen-49 to it (No Drivers needed, <3 FL Studio) and I decided to check out the sounds, 20 seamless minutes later and I'm learning how to play the Pink Panther theme using the Nexus Grand Piano soft preset.
I'm a big piano fan and the sounds it generates are really high quality. |

Re: List of the best VSTi's!
if you go to my profile, and read the most recent random thought, you'll see the youtube video "anse le raye" the piano you hear in the beginning of that vid is all nexus piano.

Here's one for you guys.
http://www.ihatebreakcore.com/module...aster-v1_1.zip GabberMaster. I use this pretty frequently for my speedcore stuff. It's really good for any hard hitting kick drums. |
