Wait, so it needs to be 50,000 words exactly?

Re: NaNoWriMo 2008!
Alright. Mind as well post my plotline. Still some things I need to think of in order to make it longer/engaging.
There's a boy named Michael Stutton who lives in London in (need to find a good year, but around the time when cars first started showing up in the area) He's just a normal boy by the age of 10 and his parents have a quite a bit of money, but aren't entirely rich. One day Michael goes on this walk to put a letter in the post office when he meets this big guy, almost giant-size, wearing a big overcoat that has pockets all over it. He always carries around this umbrella and wears the same tophat. Michael starts talking to the man, who's name is Harold (still debating the name) After a while, the man asks what Michael has always wanted. Michael says he wants a puppy, and the man pulls a puppy right out of one of those pockets. Michael starts to wonder about the man, how did he do that? And he tries to think of why every time they walk back to their homes, he tells Michael to turn around and don't look back. Then one time he looks back and sees that Harold, while walking away, dissolves. He dissolves in the way a hill of sand would blow away in the wind. Still trying to think of what to come next after that, but that's pretty much the basics. Any ideas?

Re: NaNoWriMo 2008!
You can go cliche and have him preside in some magic kingdom that Michael follows him into.

Re: NaNoWriMo 2008!
It turns out he's actually a wizard. Give Harold a flying motorcycle. And let this Sutton character attend a school of witchcraft. Wizardry is optional.

Harry Potter remake woo!
Seriously guys. I've been trying to think of something. I have the building stuff, still kinda need a climax and a solution. P.S. My LA teacher has never even heard of this. >.>
