I have to say that I'm quite happy with my original Konami pad. Unlike the DPR2, it doesn't fold up while playing... which is NOT good at all. As for the more expensive ones, I really can't talk, because I'm a cheap fsck and haven't even looked at anything better. But my Konami pad that came bundled with MAX2 hasn't died or anything yet. So I like it.

I think if you are going to spend 100 dollars for a pad you might as well get a metal one.
