Yeah.. 17 inches is insane for a laptop. This thing is widescreen...

Anyways, from what I remember, I've got 80 GB HD, 2.16 GHz, and 1 GB RAM on this laptop.

Speaking of Laptops, I just got one yesterday. Asus A8jm. Intel Core Duo T2400, 100GB drive, 1024DDR, Nvidia GeForce Go7600, and It can't even run SM. I put all the settings on minimum and I still get a constant 30FPS. Did I get a bad version or what? Please help.

Edit: Nevermind, realized that when running on battery theres an automatic FPS reduction. Just plugged in and getting 500 now.

My XPS notebook came in yesterday. It's got 1 GB RAM and the nVidia 256MB GeForce video card. 60GB of hard disk. It's pretty sweet so far. It's also got a 12 inch widescreen and it weighs 4 lbs. Cost me like 1,500.

Drop the 17'' and go with something smaller. Upgrade the proc to a 2.2, and kick the HDD to a 100gb 7200RPM at least.

Wow that sucks. If you're going to get an XPS you should get a good XPS

aka you should have gotten the better video card, 180GB HD, and the 17 inch widescreen.

I didn't have enough credit on my plan to get a better one. It suits me just fine, though. I don't use the computer for anything besides internet, music, school, and Stepmania. 60GB is more than enough space considering I had pretty much all I needed on my old 27 GB computer.

And I like small laptops. :P

My Dell only has 40GB of Memory. But when I get the money I am going to buy a 300GB External Hard Drive Extension.

Guys, guys, guys.

Stop saying memory when you mean storage. Memory = RAM. Storage = HD space. It's really confusing >_<
