I'm very keen on how this will affect Sony's strategy and success in the future. This is pretty much the Deepwater Horizon of the video game industry, and Sony is BP.

Portal isn't creative? I agree most games are shit, but the gaming industry these days is kinda like the movie industry. Most movies/games are just rushes pieces of garbage rushed out by large faceless corporations, but even some of the ones rushed out by large faceless corporations are fantastic. MW2 was a fairly top-notch FPS, not perfect, but pretty good. Portal is a game that's done something completely new, while at the same time creating a light and humorous atmosphere unique to it's series. Minecraft is an excellent sandboxing game, and although I don't like it personally, it's a unique game for the creative mind. Even games like Zelda: Twilight Princess are close to being on par with Ocarina of Time, and IMO better than Majora's Mask.

i haven't played portal yet but yeah i love playing me snes on me couch, man does it beat seating hunched over on a pc playing games that aint healthy for moi
