Re: FFR Tournament: Round 4
that isn't true for advanced or expert.... for those divisions, A LOT of it comes down to which song you get vs which person. Most songs, Lain would have absolutely 0% shot of winning vs me (no offense)... GGGPR is one of MAYBE 3 or 4 songs on all of FFR that he has a shot, because comparative to others of my skill, I'm terrible at it.

Re: FFR Tournament: Round 4
I guess that's true, but I was mostly refering to beginner, which is where my initial complaint for seeding was.

Re: FFR Tournament: Round 4
the problem with beginner is the unknown factor... nobody knew who 75%+ of the beginners were, whereas almost all the advanced and ALL the expert were known...
so it was easy to seed expert, and fairly simple to seed advanced... beginner on the other hand, was based purely on levelrank... and some of the beginners just hadn't played enough to get an accurate seeding or placement. the amazing thing is... MAYBE 1 or 2 of the beginners deserved to be in advanced over those slated for advanced... that fact is absolutely amazing, way moreso than the seeding.

Re: FFR Tournament: Round 4
That was already complained about by a few. Some had a decently legitimate reason. Most just had their ego crushed a little.

Re: FFR Tournament: Round 4
A few of the higher Beginner seeds who aren't doing as well are that high because they had decent ranks on harder songs...but didn't have great PA.
I don't think you'll find ANY seeding system ANYWHERE that can be truly perfect, so yeah, I think with a few exceptions (like nforcer) I did OK with the seeding.

Whoa, glitched arrows, and a 3 1/2 minute hip-hop song? I don't like this week AT ALL.

ps there are no glitched arrows. Just jack syndrome, which appears in a RIDICULOUSLY large number of songs, so I'm making sure everyone in the quarters can handle it

Well, if YOU AAA'd, then I can't settle for anything less, can I?
EDIT: I can't get all perfs... nobody can. But I WILL AAA (by Shash's definition). Count on it.

Re: FFR Tournament: Round 4
Sheesh, nice job, hiyu and nforcer...
So I see that you guys can do all the slow stuff perfectly well...unfortunately, this is the last round of slow songs for Beginner, so soon we'll see how you guys fare with faster stuff... In Advanced PA will become much harder, although I don't expect to see the end of FC's anytime soon like in Expert. Expert will get 5.5's and harder for all four of their next rounds.
