Definitely sounds like old school raiding. Intelligent attempts vs more attempts seems to be the way to go.

Also, the extent of my PVP experience is limited to Arenas because my friends do them. I used to go to battlegrounds a lot more when they were structured, but once they connected several realms as a huge battlegroup so most bgs were pugs, I grew sick of them. Not only that, I would die pretty much 3 seconds into any fight.

When dual specs came out, although I specced PVE disc intending to use it on raids because I will probably be doing more main tank healing in the future, I tried it out today in Arenas when Season 6 came out. We won 14 arenas and lost 7. That's 14 more wins than usual. And all of a sudden, PVP got a lot more interesting because it's no longer do our weekly 10 for arena points.

Guildies and I just did 10 man EoE.

Was pretty fun. We had terrible DPSers too. Phase 1 ended at 6:30. Phase 2 ended at 3:45. We downed him with 10 seconds left.

Peeked at my Champion of the Frozen Wastes title and noticed they removed Mal'Ganis from the list. Probably because you don't actually kill him in that encounter. So now we have to do that again. I still have to do Old Kingdom, so I will be getting 5 achievements when he goes down.

Frozen Wastes
Northrend Dungeon Hero
Northrend Dungeonmaster
Old Kingdom
Heroic Old Kingdom

Edit: forgot, we also did sarth 1d with the naxx group we run with (25man). That was pretty easy actually. The glitched waves made it hard, but it's not too bad.

I don't see any ret paladins quitting. Why would they quit?

If anyone has a reason to quit it's warlocks and they're not quitting either.

Look at the Pally forums... they're all pretty pissed.
JoM got nerfed, and the reason they were okay with it before was because Blizz made Exorcism usable on players, but in yesterday's 3.1.1 patch, they threw in the nerf to make Exorcism worthless in PvP again, leaving Ret Pallies with virtually no burst damage... Which is the only reason you'd go Ret.

And only Affliction Locks would even think of quitting due to thier nerfs.

Because 95% of all ret paladins are only playing for PvP, right?

Ret DPS still went up in PvE. I've yet to hear anyone QQ.

People get pissed about nerfs. Nothing is new here. People complain about them. Again, nothing new. People don't quit over them, especially not 95% of the class.

He despawns after an hour, so you only get one hour a day to try him (aka wipe to him repeatedly).

No more whining about easy raids from the hardcore, I assume?

Edit: Not one hour a day. One hour a WEEK.

You must not read forums too closely?
Theres over 15 Ret Pally QQ threads titled "F*ck you Blizzard, I quit."

And the PvE even got UP.

But Blizz says they want to hear Pally's ideas for thier class and they'll repatch in a week so they are no longer completely UP.
It's better than 3 button mashing 80 nobs.

Look who's posting again ;*

We downed Flame Leviathan again last night. One wipe only because one of our motorcycles got locked out. Then we tried the Colossus mob right outside. They actually aren't that hard to DPS down, it's just a matter of keeping your healers/casters alive because they hit extremely hard. We basically did it like this: one tank on the left side tanking left colossus, healer standing behind tank near wall. Same setup on right side. The healers MUST stay out of LoS of the Colossus, but within LoS of their assigned tank. The Colossus do silence so if your tanks suck and the healer gets silenced it's pretty much a wipe. Other than that just beat the hell out of them and it won't take long. Also if you down one, but wipe before you kill the other one, they will BOTH spawn again when you regroup.

Wait 'til you get to the trash INSIDE Ulduar, it's harder than most of the bosses.

Also, every class flips the hell out when they get nerfed, that's nothing new. None of them will quit, and if they do they're stupid.

Every time I seem to get a high level of any class they nerf it in PvP. I've never gotten to play an OP class in Arena.

Arms warrior + holy pally/resto druid = way OP in BC. My team had an 1834 rating(2v2)

Arms warrior + enhance/resto hybrid shaman + holy pally = warrior bursting so hard, healers can't keep up. 1900ish rating.

I miss BC arms

Holy paladins are still extremely OP in arena, especially in 2s.

"Haha, I laugh at you with my plate and shield, and my 20k crits. GG gud gam"

That being said, I still haven't quit my ret paladin.

I GUESS I'M IN THE 5% WHO HASN'T QUIT, AND SO IS EVERY OTHER PALADIN IN MY SERVER.

What irks me is that people come into the raid and they're like "I'm a ret pally, I dps hard!" wearing 25 man gear, and I'm sitting in my mostly heroics/naxx 10 gear and outdps them by a wide margin.

People with Betrayer, for god's sake, are getting stomped by my lowly titansteel destroyer. Obviously means some people aren't reading EJ.
