Default Name that weapon!!!

This weapon originated in India. It is wielded on the forearm and hand like a gauntlet and extends into a blade.
I will reply with the answer when there is a winner.
Sadly, I am poor so I can offer no significant reward.
Happy guessing!

This thread is kinda unnecessary.

It's a Pata sword. A simple googling of "Indian Weapons" brought me to the wikipedia page of Indian weapons. I clicked on the melee subcategory. After that, I clicked on every link there untill I was brought to the Pata, which was the obvious weapon.

Also, bumping your thread 6 minutes after you have made it is unnecessary, it would still of been found. This isn't a chat room.
