I find that difficult to believe. I mean, I'm sure lots of atheists and non-religious people share ideals with many eastern religions, but to actually practice said religion? That's really out of the ordinary.

Re: Belief O Matic
Well, I am a Buddhist and I do pracitce Buddhism quite often. I do, however, disagree with the idea of a Surpreme being that looks over everything you do and decides whether you get into heaven or hell blah blah. In Buddhism, if you follow the teachings, you will attain Nirvana or even Pari-Nirvana. I really do find this interesting, and I do believe in an afterlife. Just because there is an afterlife does not really mean there is someone watching over us in the present day deciding if we are worthy of getting in or not. So yes, I do not believe in a god (God, Buddha, Shiva, whatever. No surpreme being watching over me) but I do believe that there are things that you have to do to get into the afterlife. One of the teachings in Buddhism is to be kind to all living things. We are all chains in the world and we all have to keep our "link" strong in order to keep the world going. This really is a basic Buddhist teaching. So, I do practice Buddhism on occasion, I just disagree with some of the ideals.
