Classical Music Requests
Here I will post all the .mp3s I have made so you can download at any time, if there is a piece you want to step but isn't listed below, you only have to post the piece you want to see (including the movement, if there are any).
I will not make .mp3s of pieces that are less than 50 years old, this is so I don't make a mistake with possible copyrights. A small note: I currently don't have a (church) organ VSTi, so don't ask me for pieces that include one (for example: J.S. Bach - Toccata and Fugue). Green: This song has already been stepped and is currently in FFR. Dark Green: This song has been stepped but is not yet in FFR. Blue: This song has not been stepped yet. Gray: This song has not yet been stepped, but I am not sure whether it is safe qua copyrights. List of Classical Pieces: (I give permission to use all the pieces listed below, as long as they aren't gray) You may not make a stepfile of the midifile! They are there for bpm and PR purposes only. There can be differences between the midi and the mp3, this is either because of possible copyrights or to even out bpm. J.S. Bach - Badinerie Mp3 Midi L. van Beethoven - Rondo a Capriccio Mp3 Midi (Mp3 has been cut) L. van Beethoven - Tempest Mp3 Midi (All 3 movements) L. van Beethoven - Tempest mov.3 (for woker_X) Mp3 (Use the midi above, starts at bar 400) F. Chopin - Piano Sonata No.2 mov.4 Mp3 Midi Zez Confrey - Coaxing the Piano Mp3 Midi C. Debussy - Prelude No.12 Book II Mp3 Midi A. Dvorak - Humoresque No.7 Mp3 Midi (Thanks woker-X for the midi) E. Grieg - Hall of the Mountain King Mp3 Midi E. Grieg - Op.71 No.3 'Puck" Mp3 Midi (Made the mp3 with a constant bpm of 196, the midi's bpm changes are plain stupid) F. Liszt - Liebestraum Mp3 Midi F. Liszt - Tarantella Mp3 Midi (Apparently it has no movements, you just have to cut it) J. Offenbach - Can Can Mp3 Midi N. Paganini - Caprice Op.1 No.1 Mp3 Midi N. Paganini - Caprice Op.1 No.2 Mp3 Midi N. Paganini - Caprice No.20 Mp3 Midi (Midi bars 19 through 68) N. Paganini - Caprice No.24 Mp3 Midi S. Prokofiev - Etude Op.2 No.1 Mp3 Midi S. Prokofiev - Suggestion Diabolique Mp3 Midi S. Prokofiev - Toccata Op.11 Mp3 Midi S. Rachmaninoff - Etude Op.33 No.5 Mp3 Midi S. Rachmaninoff - Prelude Op.23 No.5 Mp3 Midi M. Ravel - Gaspard de la Nuit (Ondine) Mp3 Midi C. Saint-Saëns - Danse Macabre Mp3 Midi F. Schubert - Impromptu Op.142 No.4 Mp3 Midi F. Schubert - Serenade Mp3 Midi P.I. Tchaikovsky - February 'Carnival' Mp3 Midi P.I. Tchaikovsky - February 'Carnival' Mp3 (Same piece, less echo, more baroque-like)

Re: Classical Music Requests
La Danse Macabre is from Camille Saint-Saëns, not Liszt
And I already had made an mp3 of it, so it's added Edit: Ehhm... Paganini has made 24 caprices

Re: Classical Music Requests
Added Tarantella, I cut Tempest to just mov.3 and added 4 caprices of Paganini. But just so you know, my violin/viola sounds are a bit shoddy...

Re: Classical Music Requests
I'm stepping Liebestraum now.
Also, I'm still wondering about the legality of this. Since we normally need to get permission from midi makers, how does you taking it and tweaking it slightly make it yours? Meh, I dunno. But I have requests anyway: Schubert, Impromptu No. 4, D. 935. Rachmaninoff, Prelude No. 5, Op. 23. Debussy, Prelude No. 12, Book 2. Probably more, but that's all I can think of now. Also, it would be convenient if you included the original midi, so I could use something like fruity loops to track the bpm changes. |

Re: Classical Music Requests
True, the permission goes to the midi-makers, BUT the rights of midis are so minute that even a mere quantize or change in volume is enough to claim the midi as your own. Plus, we would only violate rights if we stepped their actual midi-files (this including the midi-sounds), but because this is with a different sound, we step a version that I can claim as my own.
Edit: I will add the bpm or a download link to the midi if there are bpm changes, I will have to note that we aren't allowed to step the midis. And as a side note: I often modify a midi to avoid copyright violations. One more thing, the midi-file may not always help you with bpm changes, sometimes they are either changing bpm every beat or keeping a constant bpm while it has changes.

Re: Classical Music Requests
Wow, great work. How do you make these?
I'll make some requests, but you should do everyone else's first. I just want to see how they turn out. Chopin's Etude Op. 10 No. 12 (which is called Revolutionary Etude in FFR) Rachmaninoff's Prelude Op. 32 No. 10 Rachmaninoff's Prelude Op. 32 No. 12 Ravel's Gaspard de la nuit (Ondine, which is the first part or movement)

Actually, I think some were licensed under the CC license. Modification is fine as long as it's distributed under a similar license.

Re: Classical Music Requests
am i seriously the only person who thinks this would make the most fun stepfile ever? I've been trying for so god damn long to get more ragtime into FFR. Granted... a little repetitive, but who cares. SO GOD DAMN FUN.
Zez Confrey - Coaxing the Piano http://www.perfessorbill.com/midi/coaxing.mid There's also Dizzy Fingers and Kitten on the Keys by Confrey, but I don't think they'd be as fun.

Re: Classical Music Requests
I love this topic <3
Wait, you said the following pieces below, we had permission to step. What about the one you made I requested not too long ago? also, I believe I can find you a good church organ VSTi.
