So I went to buffalo across the border from here, had my special game boy with me that's heavily nodded to make some tunes during the trip. So you're being held at the border by the US Border Guards for suspicion, presumably, of your modded gameboy being an explosive device of some kind, but they're allowing you open access to the internet? I'm...hesitant.

I still have my phone for some reason. They're just checking my bags and coming in asking questions ever 30minutes. I'm not in jail or anything. Still at the border offices



They're telling me it's more about the device potentially interfering with other electrical equipment and it says on the back of the gameboy it must receive any interference signal or something. They're just afraid it can intercept signals and it wouldn't comply with US law

Made it home.

Gave me a "warning" (the fuck) saying if I bring electronics they shouldnt be modified unless I get some sort of pre approval by customs. Basicaly had to drive back to fort erie after being detained 4 hours, drop off my gameboy and go back. So we'll try again this evening.

this is why our crew group registers every year, rofl

a couple years ago, I showed up at pre-reg sometime around 8pm and literally walked right up to the table, grabbed my pass, and walked out in the span of 10 minutes. it was pretty dope
