So I work at a HOBO and we have a few tvs. I start at 5:30 & Hawks were on at 7:30.

"Oh, I'll just tune one of these displays to the game..."

Why I thought those displays would have cltv, a cable channel I dunno but I'm glad we won even though I only got to see the last 5 min :P

Someone blackball this son of a bitch already.

Tyson Barrie, who was the Avs player on the receiving end of the hit, is out 4-6 weeks with an MCL injury, and Matt Cooke, who has previously received a 17-game suspension, was only assessed a minor penalty. The Wild went on to win 1-0 in overtime.

From Yahoo Sports:

"Cooke has been suspended six times by the NHL for 32 games, which includes seven playoff games. Since his last suspension was over 18 months ago, he won’t be considered a “repeat offender” when it comes to the financial penalties he’ll receive from the NHL. However, his suspension history will be considered in the decision on games lost."

Also, if he does get a suspension longer than 5 games, Cooke will have the option to appeal.

But that game-winner, shades of Bobby Hull.

That hit was disgusting. As someone who has been on the receiving end of one of those hits with a similar injury, I hope he gets severely punished for that.

Aaaand this is the reason I wasn't happy with Cooke joining the team.

Nevertheless, we dominated. We're gonna fight until the end!

And that Granlund goal. Exquisite.

Boston 2-0 Detroit after one period, and they're continuing to come on strong in the second with effective neutral zone traps.

I really should have known better than to pick the Wings after Jesus H. Christ posted this on his G+ feed: "Don't bother praying for your team to win. I've already made my pick."
