As to not seeing Tass back again, that is a yes and no situation. He really did do some great things here, but towards the end things seemed to change in him. I mean I understand he wasn't getting paid. But, everyone respected him enough and he kept the site going for things. At the very end it was LD and NSane who wasn't a mod or admin. I'd love to see those two back indefinitely to be honest.

Becoming admin is not about technological/managerial merit (if this were true, I'd be an admin eons ago). You still have to be a decent member of the community. If you run around trolling and/or being an ass like yours truly, people get wary.

Twilight: New admins helping out are really what James needs. I agree with 25th hour that mods are here but not at all really definitely needed except to keep chaos away. Admins are where it's at.

EDIT: Just towards necamus, my fault.

Necamus's remark is pretty justified in my opinion because TP doesn't quite have the credentials that one typically attributes to an admin as I explained above.

Also, I know you want to people to think you're some huge part of this community by calling Synthlight "James" and implying that you have some kind of personal relationship with him (which I doubt you do), but I'm here to let you know that it's weird as **** and you should stop.

Foilman: You see in certain communities you start to know peoples first names. Dragons Fury for example, over there you kinda lately don't see many people NOT calling people by their first names. However, I'll stop for your being.

Well this is a much, much larger community than Dragon's Fury. Additionally, not a whole lot of people even know Synthlight's first name, so it's just confusing to everyone else on top of it all.

I prefer my relative anonymity, and I imagine Synthlight does too.

I would argue that an admin should be involved within the community. admins are, after all, representing who's working on the site and how they can improve keeping in touch with everyone else.

I thought this was a given? All too often though, admins don't keep in touch with the community, just like the higher European echelons of kings and queens of the middle ages. I always have found that my experiences were better if the admins were actively involved with the rest of the site.
