it's just that people doing poor at school tend not to mention their school life

I've had this at times where a lot of friends were going to uni and I was headed to college. Kinda made me feel like I was behind.

Crappy school child here.
And it's not even that I'm stupid, I just have serious focusing problems and I'm the laziest Asian you will ever meet (at least compared to the nerds in my school).

Re: Is anyone here not good at school?
Considering how necessary college is to get a job that doesn't involve ringing up items at a cash register and how expensive non-community colleges are, going to a community college doesn't mean you're dum.
What a lot of people do is get most of their credits at a cheap community college and then finish off their degree at some fancy pants expensive university. |

It's going to take me at least 8 years to finish a 3 years course. Do I win?

Re: Is anyone here not good at school?
I went to a good school and did honors and all that in hs, but still had the tendency to be a bad student. i.e. put minimal time into anything and procrastinated to last minute, i still managed to get good grades, because I did put good effort into projects and papers and worked until it was up to my standards... but i never thought school was all that imperative.
forget all the well-to-do crap man, if you aren't doing exactly what you feel like doing, I don't think it's right, although it may be "good for you", making it in life isn't about wealth it's about happiness. if youre stuck in some lousy paradigm where " i can't make it cuz i didnt go to college time to get a shitty part time job" college still won't do much for you, in regards to "making it" in the world. for real, college is full of retards, and you only have what opportunities you allow yourself it's important to be educated for the sake of knowledge and your own growth, like, life should be about passion LoL. taking the time to find yourself and what you love to do then going out and doing it. and by taking the time I mean, actually going out and living your life, not sitting there going "idk what to do lol I just want to sit here and play flash games" tl;dr **** school I dont even use my degree and I'm really not that much better off for it, also limitations are for chumps but if you love going to school and learning and science and shit then by all means. everyones just all like SCHOOL SCHOOL SCHOOL all the time, i think most people hate school because it's lame and you don't really need it but we deal because omg I am learning tha worldz a skool

Re: Is anyone here not good at school?
community college is a much smarter route. just need to focus while you are there and keep up a 3.0 so you can transfer out. =]

you're not the only one. I'm sound enough to know that I'm intelligent enough to pass off as a college student even though I lack post-secondary schooling (which will change this summer). |
