Good lord, I'm sorry about your father. That's just awful. My thoughts go out to you.
Edit: How old is he? Double Edit: Have you been tested?

If things get bad then give up cable and cut back on the AC (We use Handfans doing storms here, they are really cheap to make and can save like 30 bucks a month on those bills). Another trick is to start living off bags of pasta---easy to make, goes with any sauce, filling, and cheap.
May God be with you =) |

Re: This sucks.
How am I putting more stress on his family? By asking if he's been tested? I mean, really, it's up to him - or was it asking how old his father is? Please, let me know so I don't offend you in the future.

Re: This sucks.
Are you old enough to get yourself a part time job?
I can see how you dad cannot find a job but how about a temporary job? |

Re: This sucks.
Actually, Kyle here brings up a good point. Can't you or your dad go to the temp agency and find a job there? It may pay crap, but it's something nonetheless.

The only reason you're not banned is because you're a subscriber =P
And while this may seem hard, always just try to look at the good side of things. While that sounds pretty lame, in times like these, it's easy to basically self-destruct. Just make sure to continue being happy for all you have, and it'll make things a lot easier (mentally).

Re: This sucks.
Do you have a job? Even as a full time student I have held a steady job since I was 16. Even minimum wage can help pay for some food and whatnot. Everyone can pitch in somehow.

Re: This sucks.
Oh, my entire family basically says live life to the fullest, why wait?
And no, I have not been tested. PS: My Grandparents are pretty well off, and my grandmother's brother is very wealthy. They will help as much as they can. |

Re: This sucks.
You can easily use the $1800 in your account to pay bills, and go to a food bank.
I don't see how posting this on FFR really accomplishes anything. On that note, I know what it's like to worry about money - I have my entire life. It's not fun when you don't know if there will be food on the table or a house to live in.

A lot of this thread seems to revolve around you getting a job.

Ah. Found the post.
Well, get that promotion, sell items, be mindful of what you purchase, and hope for the best. Does your mom have a job? |
