Metal effects for guitar

I want to buy a Metal distortion pedal for my guitar, what do you recommend me? Is good an used one?

Boss Metal Zone. I use it, sounds great.

Thank you, it's a little expensive but I think it's very worthly.
I think I'll buy a little used one.

Also, if you wanna go the extra mile, look into pickup replacements. Throwing almost any DiMarzio in your bridge with huge treble output + a decent effects pedal (Metal Zone works perfectly) will sound absolutely beastly.

I have a SD Jazz for my neck, and I use a Pearly Gates for the bridge.
