Re: Mapping Keys in FFR (WITH IMAGES)
It's just a program that tells your computer to mirror a key. For example, you can put in that "askl" are the arrow keys. It's very helpful when playing spread.

Unfortunately AHK was written only for use with windows machines. I'm sure there would be another way to do it although I doubt that it would be quite as easy

Re: Mapping Keys in FFR (WITH IMAGES)
I was wondering, how much time did it took you guys to become actually better on spread than you were when you we're playing two-handed (on the arrow keys). And I'm asking this to the ones that've been playing for a year not begginers, cuz I've just started playing spread and my scores are kinda really bad...how much time do you think it'll take to return to my normal skills or to get even better?

Re: Mapping Keys in FFR (WITH IMAGES)
Do you mean that you played with left fingers on left and down arrow keys and right fingers on the up and right arrow keys? Because if that is the case then I wouldn't think that it would take all that long to get back to your previous skill level.
Personally I switched from playing one handed to spread and within probably a week or two I was starting to do better than I had one-handed. Of course I hadn't really played much for a year and a half so I wasn't exactly great at the time anyways. Oh and for Ryshu, I would say that you would have to talk to jwcgator about that since the chances of people finding your link are slim if its not in the first post. It seems like a good idea and I've talked with him before about it, the only issue I can see is that people are probably more likely to trust the program if they can download and write the script themselves. Also if anyone is wondering jwcgator has a script that will run on any unix based OS for mapping keys.

Re: Mapping Keys in FFR (WITH IMAGES)
I am/was playing left fingers on left and down and middle right finger on up and ring finger on right. I was doing pretty well (82 tier points) but if it takes a week to get better than I'll start practicing spread. I just have some real problems with jumps but the streams are ok. I manage to FC all of the Vertex BETA streams but I choke when it comes to trills and jumps...

Re: How to map different keys in FFR and Use a Dancepad
I remember this topic catching my eye (+0.5) awhile ago, but I never really cared much because I always play with just the arrow keys. WO I AM HARDCORE :3 But I'm-a thinking I'm going to download this soon, just to see if it'll work in my favor. Sure, it'll definitely take some getting used to, but that's to be expected. Even if it doesn't work for me here, I can find other games and places and sources to use my newfound powers of elite hackership to own everything.
...........................Oh dear........................the world may end soon............

Re: Mapping Keys in FFR (WITH IMAGES)
enter::Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {left} Send {down} Send {up} Send {right}
if you add that you can hit enter (or any other key you assign) and it'll auto fail you If someone has a better script please tell me. |

Re: Mapping Keys in FFR (WITH IMAGES)
K, whatever. If you wanna make it easier then download here
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0QDVGMV0 if you don't trust it then don't download, simple as that. If a mod wants to look at the code and edit it into the first post then be my guest, it's not like it's that complicated with like three lines of code, rofl. |
