Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
I agree that it's niche. The music is good but it doesn't make an awful lot of sense to give it its own section when other understandably niche genres (i.e. American pop, uggh) haven't been done yet. And yet, we do have to start somewhere. And please not with pop. I'm not playing anything by the Jonas Brothers to get HWG or PianoCore or whatever. I won't be able to take it. But, that's just me.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Blah Party 4u background is so difficult to see the notes. That song should be deleted and redone without the epileptic flashy strobe lights. I wont ever FC that song with the background.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
IMO flash BG itself is a nice feature, but the color combination of notes and BG in P4U is just embarrassing.
It won't be changed though. |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
genre of new songs will be changed in Dec, so I'm taking genre suggestions here.
and post specific opinions if some of current songs are misplaced (especially Arcade ones). |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
After Altair by Ikodo Moonstrife comes from the ending theme of Bomberman 64. However, I doubt Bomberman 64 is famous enough to be moved out of Dance and into Arcade. (Altair was the name of the big bad you had to defeat, not counting a secret boss.)
Even if it wasn't moved, it's in a very strange place in the Dance menu anyway, as it's a level 4 song (Easy) but it's on page 7 surrounded by level 7 (Difficult) songs. Just thought I'd draw attention to it. |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
This. There are some arrows that I pretty much never notice are there o_0 Flash and static (non-black) backgrounds are OK but I'd really rather they be kept out of songs that are already hard to FC/AAA without it.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
I just thought of something. We have two Dance genres and lots of Arcade songs... maybe we could have two Arcade genres. Only in this case, it's not necessarily sorted by difficulty, but the first Arcade has the famous video game music and then the second one has lesser-known video game music as well as music made to resemble that genre. The Megaman songs, Zelda songs, Mario songs, FF songs would all go in the first section, and the Touhou songs and other niche songs would go in the second one, as well as anything 8-bit sounding (such as Magical 8-Bit Tour). The final page of the first Arcade could still have The Games We Played.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Feldschlacht is a remix of an excerpt from Saga Frontier 2 and the original composer is Masashi Hamauzu. The original title was also called Feldschlacht -j.z. mix- and the song follows his alias as maxXx65535.
So why not change the title to the full title, the song author to maxXx65535, and the song style to Smooth Jazz Remix or Game Jazz Remix? |

Now I'm thinking of some credit req changes/req song changes of secret/purchased songs for the better game balance.
Discuss here if you have suggestions. |
