Re: Psychoangel691 hosts a tourney
I didn't move to D2 because i wanted to win the first tournament I ever played in, and i knew if i was moved to D2 I would get last place. Likewise, why would I post a fake score on a song, if I had already won the tournament in the first place.

Re: Psychoangel691 hosts a tourney
Yes, but my point is, why would i try to increase my score falsely with a risk of getting eliminated after I had already won. And ask you can read earlier the only reason i refused D2 was because I wanted to win the tournament.

It's just that if you knew you weren't D1 for a while and stayed *just* to win, then that's unfair to those who are actually D1 players. I don't think Lava knew that this was against the rules at all, looking at what he wrote now. |

I'll second that, and I'm not saying I completely doubt his ability to AAA the file, but just to show his *true* skills at the last round was a bit unnecessary. And also, that he refused D2... I mean, the whole point IS to challenge yourself and get better. Right?

I'm not good enough for D2 I tried to play the final round D2 song and i got 90+ goods on it and multiple misses. Likewise if I were to leave for D2 Red blaster would get an automatic win or be bumped up to D2 aswell, which neither of us are ready for. |

Also, your AAA of Glaciate is pretty much auto D2 anyways.

But I agree with the unanimous decision, sticking in a lower division just to win is unfair to players who were just trying to have fun. THAT'S ALL THIS IS: FUN!

I personally don't think I'm D5 yet, but I keep being put into it lately, but I don't bitch or complain. I try. Why wouldn't you except a higher division that's not a dramatic jump? D1 is for people who still are trying to understand the game, D2 is for people who knows what's going on. You're D2 regardless of the AAA.

Re: Psychoangel691 hosts a tourney
I feel like this was something from the near beginning. When I said that the the D1 tournament songs were easy, It's not that they were extremely easy, its just that they were so easy that i did not want to repeatedly play them for the AAA, I only played enough to beat Red Blaster. I just happened to like the final song of the tournament, and I wanted to finish the tournament out strong with a AAA on the final song (I played it 200+ Times). Regardless of what i previously said, I do not believe that I am ready for D2, I tried to play the final D2 song and got 100 Goods at best. Even though I know I'm not ready for D2, if the tournament host believed that I was good enough, then they should have bumped me up anyways, regardless of my opinion. I am disappointed that my first tournament will be taken away from me because I was unaware of everything that I needed to be in D2.

I also have been calling lawyers because what they're doing is not legal. Then I proceeded to try to get some of the things done around my house that need to be done prior to AJ's mom flying in tomorrow, plus to prep for Ariana's first birthday on Saturday. I have a job interview to prep for, I've also got mounds of schoolwork to do. So I'm so terribly sorry if your friend cheating a rhythm game is the last priority on my list. Quote:

Doesn't help your case any that there is someone that could come over and play for you, but that wasn't what I was really pushing on anyway. For everyone else in the tournament I apologize that you've had to deal with all this as well.

Re: Psychoangel691 hosts a tourney
I'd put all out and AAA my final song too if it was something easy like Rave 7 despite AAAing nothing, some people don't feel like playing things till they AAA.

Re: Psychoangel691 hosts a tourney
Lavadoom, you are being disrespectful to the tournament host. Everyone else, it's been said to discontinue responses to this situation.
Cases like this are reasons why tournament rules are going to be revamped in the near future, but I would like to be clear right off of the bat: Lavadoom: 1.) You are expected to perform at your best level (or as reasonably close as possible throughout the tournament). Attempting to mask your skill to receive a lower division placement is considering sandbagging, something that is not only generally frowned upon. This is incorrect information -- it is a referrer match, not an IP match. 2.) You entered a tournament on a brand new account that was created very close to the tournament's start date (within a month), with very few scores to back up any sort of divisional placement outside of D1. Improving at an extreme rate in that short of a time period is very possible, but you are claiming an extremely large playcount when both instances of your AAAs have been followed with not only no restarts, but also generally low playcounts in your level ranks as well. To further indicate things, you did not AAA any other song in the tournament, so nailing the last round under these circumstances is without question a red flag. 3.) A player capable of AAAing a song in the mid-20s is D2 under all circumstances -- the skill curve of D2 is rather large to accommodate for those who are not newer players with increased accuracy, something that D1 players do not have. 4.) An inability to perform well on the final round on the division that you belong in does not mean that you do not belong in that division. Speak to anyone who happens to be on the lower end of their division (cedo: D6, psychoangel: D5, CarrotCake: D3, etc) and they will likely point you to level ranks that are absolutely -horrible- in the ranges of these final rounds. Given the situation and examination between Rapta's most recent plays and Lavadoom's most recent plays, they are using different settings, speed mods, screen cuts, and other various things. The unfortunate thing is that there is a massive skill disparity between the two players, with the lower level player generally using a lower speed mod (the opposite makes it very easy to see fradulent play). As such, it would be quite easy for Rapta to play for Lavadoom given the generally low density in files and generally low speed mods (again, the opposite would be much better as proof). I do not think Lavadoom is having Rapta play for him, but I do generally agree that skill was being masked in an effort to just stay in a given division. To continue, Lavadoom mentioned that the songs were much too easy early on in the tournament, and yet continued to perform poorly. There are a number of red flags in this situation. As usual, the tournament host reserves all rights to disallow users, as well as terminate users from play if they believe that something is being done unfairly.
