Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Weird, DTD 1.5 was even sponsored by Kongregate and DTD 1.9 hasn't even shown up on Kong.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Tass, do you just use songs allowed on FFR for your music, or do you actually go and get permission from them again?
I need to get another imp badge. What's a relatively easy imp badge to get? |

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
it rev shares with you. but given what we do, it's not easy to get into it. they're looking for "original content". it's likely a battle that i can't win... but i'll keep trying and keep applying. the fact that my stuff continues to get more and more views a day, and continues to draw in new subscribers, and i continue to add more content... maybe i'll get in eventually. *shrugs*.
no idea even how much the rev share is. they don't say. for all i know it could be a 10 cent CPM, which would be pretty much worthless. given i've been getting 8-10k views a day every day for about 2 weeks, 4k+ views every day for a month, and 2k+ views every day for over 2 months now... it's pretty cool to see my views chart through Insight. looks like a stock you'd want to own.

I subscribed, Tass. Hope you're happy.
and pyro's pixel-fixation is driving me insane. I can't get level 16 for the life of me, and something different happens each time I line it up correctly. |

DTD 1.9 Hard Mode... 8873 Non Juggle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U64bU9krsDQ
Way less predictable than 1.5. So many things squeak through gaps. This took me 15-20 tries to get. I had a ton of runs that were 87xx with 1 ending boss that leaked, meaning a loss of 205 points. I kept saying, "ok, 1 more try... just 1 more try." Then another annoying run later, I'd be at it again. This was the best I managed. Definitely beatable. 9000 is doable without juggling, for sure.

So juggle-averse, as usual :P One of these days, you shall see the light *cue the heavenly chorus*

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Arcane Coding recently had a pretty high quality improvement according to some recently-released data, but I'd really like to make it better. One thing I've noticed is that I can have rooms renamed. I like that AC is high up on the room list (easily found), but that also means it is more prone to random spammers/trolls who just want to cause trouble. I'd like to make it a little more "niche." It also feels weird to own a room named after another user, lol.
Any suggestions for a room-name change? Keep it as-is? Opinions?

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
i'd say to name it Flash Flash Revolution. but i doubt that'd go over well.
but some variant on Flash Flash _____olution. that's witty. i'm drawing a blank on what that might be. preferably something that still starts with R. badgeolution is the best i've come up with. and that's pretty lame. rebellion recursion reinsertion retardation those are the best i can do... i searched for all words in the dictionary that start with R and end with ION.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
so... the How-To video site 5min.com contacted me in regards to putting my guides on their site.
there's little traffic for their video game videos currently... but they offered to do all the initial work for me. they're going to upload all my videos and create my account and stuff for me. i figure that made it worth agreeing to. no rev share though. they also created a pretty sweet video player that allows you to slow down the video, progress frame by frame, and zoom in on certain areas. as a way to better learn and understand whatever it is the video is teaching you how to do.
