Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
If you use vROFL, you can get up to 10,555. That is... if you AAA vROFL twice and AAA Frictional Nevada.

Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
This round is definitely skill focused then.. I'll do my best whoring arrow-enriched songs. =P
Oh, and bonus submitted. Doubt I'm in the top three for it, but I had fun. (<- lie)

Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
Trumpet: yes... this round IS skill based.... but you also have to put the time in to figure out the correct path to take. I've mapped out 4-5 different paths, and have found that the top 2-3 potential paths are actually worse for me than some of the lower ones. Because I can nearly AAA the lower ones, yet I have tons and tons of non-perfs on the higher ones, since they're a lot harder.
PS - 5565.

Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
... from now on i will only play this for the fun. I don't care about placing or credits now, because theres no way i can win (completely about AAA round)
Anyhow. yeah. Devon i'll PM you the confirmation later (used hypercam, sped up 4x)

The screenshot is perfectly fine, I totally don't need a screenrecorded playthrough.

Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
naw its alright. ima just upload it to help the other people who can't finish it.
There's nothing against helping others right? (see I've given up on getting a good rank so going to mess around with Tass and Rubix xD)

Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
If you want to privately offer to tell people how to do it, I can't stop you, though I would really appreciate it if -solutions- weren't posted publically, especially on things with either points for doing, or no points for not doing, because it ruins the effect of skill and effort from those who actually did it on their own.
Basically: if you want to offer to give people solutions go ahead, but I strongly advise people to not take you up on it unless they want to ruin any actualy glory or bragging rights you'd get from winning. |

Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
rofl... Tass and Rubix already had the badge and stuff, so they had the option of throwing sportsmanship out the window rite thar
w/e I hate these bull**** speed things in tournaments because you're either THERE or NOT THERE... and if you miss two or three you basically have no chance at winning |

Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
I think that's why devonin's advancing the start times by 2 hours each round. The last couple of rounds have started in the middle of the night for me, but the last few will be early-mid morning, which suits me perfectly. Besides, I'd say that anyone hardcore enough to get up at 4 AM for a mental challenge deserves to do well.

Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
Exactly Fractal. by having 10 rounds start 2 hours different, you're covering almost the entire day. The odds are that no 1 person will be able to make the start of all 10 rounds, making it more fair to everyone.
In terms of having speed associated to rounds, this is by far the most fair way of doing it, IMO.

Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
Come on guys, quit whining. I've missed the start of every round so far and I'm still doing fine.
Tass: In my defense I don't have access to the scores table lolol, otherwise I'd be opti-whoring

Re: Devonin's Critical Thinking Tourney Two
Wait, you shouldn't be allowed to use vROFL.
Not all of us have it and it gives those who do a complete disadvantage. (ie mainly because it's passable now without DS ) |
