I hate anything that causes you to press the buttons on the phone alot. Its annoying as hell because those freakin buttons are so small and stupidily shaped. This includes texting and playing games on the phone (and every phone game that exists does suck)

T9 is pretty cool but the dictionaries are quite limited in many cases, and it isn't very "smart" (e.g. I hate that it confuses of and me all the time. That one's the worst). Texting is useful if you don't want to engage in a long-ass conversation, but instead want to simply drop a line for someone to read/reply to later at convenience. What's stupid is when people text back and forth to each other as if it were a normal conversation -- just call.

Long distance fees on a cell phone? I disagree.

I don't mind people texting all the time as long as it's not in a movie theater or while they're driving.

a lot of it will also depend on what type of phone someone has. if they have a sidekick or a "texting" first type phone... aka, one that has a full keypad and is MEANT for texting... then they're going to be fast. if someone has a standard type cellphone, that only have the normal 9 buttons + whatever few other buttons they have... they're going to be slower, and it will take much more practice to get fast; yet they still won't be as fast as someone with a texting phone.

with my iphone, i'm sort of in the middle. i have a keyboard, and it's touch-screen... but it's slower than with a sidekick and more prone to errors. plus, there is no T9... just an auto-correct that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

meh I could text reasonably fast because I was on a bus ride for four hours and that's pretty much all I did the whole time so I got the hang of it. It's not like it takes long to learn but texting is kinda dumb anyway so haha.

Here's what I have to say. People don't text fast because they have better things to do than being on their phones all day like fags.

I might consider texting if i could connect a keyboard to my phone. Although i am never in a situation where i need to text someone so it doesn't really matter.

When i text i'm slow as heck compared to my FFR speed. But i think if people have such a problem they have a few options:
1. Be patiant (I recomend)
2. Call them (Another recomend)
3. Spam untill they reply (not so good)

Personaly i like calling my friends... I can hold a conversation longer that way.
