Pokemon has my vote, and always will. I do agree with everyone about the first 2 seasons of Digimon though. I wish it was discontinued after that though. It really becomes total crap.

Personally, I disliked Digimon because it made no sense. Why didn't the Digimons always stay digievolved to the max when fighting? Why did they have to get hurt every darn fight in order to realize that it was time to kick ass...? And why did they always digidevolve by the end of the day...?

2nd gen pokemon was when pokemon was at its peak before the hype died down. When i was a kid, if you didn't play pokemon you weren't cool.

I liked the digimon movie but overall, I like pokemon better. Not the new pokemon, the old one. The new ones suck.

Digimon's show was too ****ing dark for children. I remember disliking it because the episodes made me feel uneasy. When I was child, I almost lived what I saw on TV. Looking at teenagers that got lost in a world they don't know, being chased by monsters that want them dead sure isn't a really pleasant experience. Pokémon was way more "light-hearted" and it's the reason I prefer it now. Digimon was suited for a more mature public.

It's all about personnal tastes, I find the Pokémon universe more attractive than Digimon's. Also Pokémon isn't decreasing in quality, you're just growing up. Seriously, I don't see what's bad about new Pokémon when comparing to the old ones, the only thing I'd say was better before in Pokémon was 1) The anime 2) The musics from the game. Otherwise, I always liked the third generation above the first and second one, I thought the fourth gen was horrible (except for the musics) and I like where the gen 5 is going.

the new pokemon lack originality imo. they're running out of idears and it's obvious. though the gameplay itself is more or less remaining true to the original games

That's what I'm saying! Swampert is a very cool dude to use alongside Charizard. The new gen looks great too, but I do admit the 4th gen was a bit too cute. Let's see what Black and White have to offer.

They were the best and still are.
Best pokemon games to date imo.

I'd have to say Poke'mon had better games, but the anime got repetative after a while. Digimon had a better anime (I haven't seen any seasons since Tamers.) But most of the games aren't that good. Digimon Dusk and Dawn are okay though.
